Saying a candidate "bought" a state is the least neutral phrasing I've ever seen.

Doing a good job is more influential than private money - thank God!
Still not gonna rest until we get some campaign finance reform though!

The reason why money spent on the auto bail out is helping Obama is because it helped the economy. It helped people.
So it should rightly pay off for Obama, because people really are better off.

We call spending public money to make more people happy than unhappy good governance. The government is supposed to spend public money on people to make them happy, that's why we have a bloody government.
Seriously, your neutral response is literally "Obama did a good job, that's why he's winning Ohio". I guess spending money on Medicare and Social Security is bribing old people, now.

But I thought women liked compromise and proper debate! See that line every debate because apparently women don't like to see aggression

Interestingly, the early numbers in PA don't seem quite powerful enough for Romney to pull off his upset there. Though, of course, it's only 1%; the urban margins just seem to big for Obama.

That's how politics works. It's not just direct transfers like auto-bailouts, social security payments or tax legislation, but more subtle issues like environmental standards or IP legislation or even the level of defense spending. Almost all decisions benefit someone financially.
There's nothing surprising in people rewarding politicians who benefit them and punishing those that hurt them. This is how politics has worked for hundreds of years. There's a thin layer of ideology on top, that people used to justify their self-interest to a wider audience (or at least shield themselves from moral outrage to some level).
