Almost accidentally made Emmer governor. Lesson learned. Yeah, Minnesota is an interesting state when it comes to state politics; it's got a strong and influential independent voter sensibility, and along with Wisconsin y'all just seem to pump out influential politicians. And yes, thank god y'all did not elect Tom Emmer, he is pretty much the worst kind of Republican. Except for the 6th district, I dunno what's been going on there; they keep on voting for Bachmann (though I guess technically she is influential) and I sincerely hope she does not get re-elected because she scares me. I went out to the polls at 7:30AM, line was really long. I had to register there too because I moved during the summer so all in all, it took perhaps 40 minutes, 30 of them spent in line. According to the machine, I was the 341st voter at that place.

Also, I initially googled "florida county vote broward" to try and find out if it was blue or red. The first link that google popped up for me is probably in the grey area as far as the red warning text at the top goes but it's an article from the examiner if you're interesting in reading it.

This probably won't inspire much confidence in the non-Americans, but this is Florida. A woman attempting to vote in West Boca Raton this morning was initially prohibited from entering the polling place because she was wearing a tee shirt with the letters MIT. BocaNewsNow.com has heard from multiple sources that an election supervisor at the polling place ultimately realized that MIT stands for “Massachusetts Institute of Technology” — a school where students tend to know how to spell — and was not a campaign shirt for the Republican candidate, who spells his name MITT. Campaigning is not permitted within several yards of a polling place. The woman was ultimately allowed to vote.

I think the biggest problem is that Americans don't understand how an economy goes through a recession, they seem to think Obama's policies were what caused the recession when in fact it's been subsequently removing them from the recession. The only argument on that is that it's "to slow" but it's definitely moving out of the recession.

If Romney is elected, batten down the hatches because it'll be an exciting 4 years globally. Especially trying to get China to stop valuing their currency how they see fit :D On November 07 2012 07:21 Zaqwert wrote: Show nested quote + On November 07 2012 07:18 IMoperator wrote: 18 years old, first time voting, voted for Obama ![]() Enjoy a lifetime of paying off debt and paying for other people's welfare. Or paying for his own at a cheaper price than insurance companies ever would charge and has ZERO possibility of being refused. Sounds terribad, the other Modern nations need to start living like America letting Millions of people go bankrupt because of healthcosts. Now that's real debt paying.

Those countries probably agree that Obama is better for the world overall, but Romney is better for the 2 country relationship. I would probably vote for Obama if I were American, but as a non-American, Romney actually sounds a better option if I'm allowed to be selfish.

I'll see ya'll on the other side! the fuck hahahahaha are you trolling? If this happens it's probably an indication of rampant election fraud on the part of the Republican party. no trolling. just a gut feeling and four years of waiting. I'm hoping it's such a large win that accusations of voter fraud are out the window. call me crazy, but somehow, I don't think any recounts are going our way this time. A large win for Romney would be exactly that-a massive indication of election fraud, because the likelihood of Romney winning by large margins based on the current polls is incredibly low. BTW, there's a pretty significant difference between voter fraud and election fraud. There's no real evidence to suggest voter fraud is a problem. Election fraud, on the other hand, is a different issue. Groups that try to disenfranchise voters, destroy or tamper with ballots, make the voting process difficult or impossible, etc. are all taking part in election fraud. Most likely the election will be close, and Ohio will be the deciding factor. If I'm not mistaken most reputable sources have Obama at a 2-1 edge to win the election, and he's currently on average polling between +0.5% and +2% on the popular vote (which honestly doesn't matter that much, seeing as Obama is still likely to win the electoral college if he loses the popular vote slightly)
