So can I admit to a murder on facebook and have it thrown out because it was typed rather than said? :/ if you cant authenticate a message, then yes.
if i type on your facebook that you admit to murder and you get throw in prison for it, wouldnt you be the tad bit upset?

And I don't know about the whole gun thing. But considering the amount of gun right activists in this thread that I KNOW have argued tirelessly against additional restrictions or limitations on guns, I just assumed that a teenager eagerly trying to celebrate his gun 'freedoms' would be just another wily whipper-snapper trying to live the American Dream.
And think about it: if Trayvon had a gun that night, it might have saved his life!
I think being expelled from school is a jarring flaw of character, but maybe I just don't have friends.
Eh, it depends on what the reason was. I had a friend in high school who was expelled for having an unweighable amount of shake in his glove box. There was such a small amount of weed that it literally did not register on the scale. It was practically belly button lint. Is he irresponsible for smoking weed as a teenager? Sure. Did he deserve to potentially have his life ruined for having such a tiny amount in his car and on his person that it couldn't even be weighed and does it make him a terrible person? I'd say no.

On the other hand people's facebook statuses get hijacked all the time because people leave their computer open to facebook around friends.
However, for the purposes of this case you really have to consider the facts:
Porn is still present on the phone. (Therefore mom hasn't been using phone cause she would likely delete it/yell at Trayvon)
Secondary password protocols to access specific texts and pictures (even more unlikely someone else wrote or deleted those)
Phone was found on Martin and long history of texts referring to him specifically. (his phone)
I think it's safe that at least the material in the special folders was done by someone with both levels of access which is most likely Trayvon Martin.

Yeah the seven year old wrote the:
"I ain't done with him, he ain't bled enough for me." text
>_<

If Trayvon didn't send the text messages, but the person that sent it said "hey it's Trayvon" at the start of the text, it would be authenticated? I don't follow the judges logic.

is anyone having trouble with the live video? its not loading for me

on-topic:
dude, this judge and the prosecution are proving themselves to be fucking corrupt as shit... this is some bull
Holy shit, I can't believe she just did that. This is fucking horrible.

West is pissed as shit. The judge should pull up her robe though, her bias is showing.

So...
Password protected pictures on Trayvon's password protected phone that he clearly used for thousands of text messages and hundreds of pictures including selfies of himself...
Even if the text says "This is Trayvon, I totally killed a guy today" how do I know his brother didn't just write "This is Trayvon"
At what point does this kind of evidence become admissible? Are you required to have someone testify to having physically seen Trayvon type and send the message? Even the person receiving the message wouldn't be good enough, because even they cannot be sure the person on the other end was actually Trayvon...
|
Judge is pretty insane, I can see why West and MoM were getting upset. I can't wait to hear her ruling in the morning.

Closing argument:
"Knock knock."
"Fuck off, Judge."

Well they just said that they can prove it by calling to court those who were on the other end of the text and testify they were in fact talking to Trayvon. But if they know the game, apparently they can just say "Nah son, that wasn't me. It was my 7 yr old brother talkin mess like he sum gangsta to Trayvons 7 yr old gangsta brotha"
|
By that judges logic how do we know that Jenteal was actually talking to Trayvon during his encounter with Zimmerman. It could have been anyone using that phone.

Of course, and even speaking from the same logic the judge used, even the people on the other end can't know if it was or wasn't him.

I don't think Trayvon is exactly the "responsible gun owner" that we're all talking about... though that's kinda off-topic.
Yeah, I honestly don't know gun culture in America well enough to know whether trying to buy a gun underneath the table in high school is 'weird'. I'm sure it's frowned upon, but I assume it happens more often in the states than Canada.

The illegal delaying tactics of the prosecution...
Yeah... this judge is a PoS.
also: the idea that there are no "contextual clues" that clearly identify Trayvon as the sender is so absurd it's not even arguable.
