So I recently bought a suit, but they screwed up the sleeves--for one I feel that they are both too short, but one in particular is shorter than the other and the jacket is a size too large (which is pretty unfortunate, I had to buy it with my dad, not buying off the rack ever again).
My question here is, how far should suit sleeves go down? Because I feel they are -way- too short, the sleeves sit at or above my wrist bone, when I bend my arm at all the sleeves slide so far up my arm it's almost to the middle of my forearm or literally the middle of my forearm which feels incredibly wrong.
I feel like when I see other people in suits that their sleeves don't sit so high and look quite so awkward on them.

Dress clothing - The thing here is that I want to have some degree of casual going with it. How do you guys feel about vests? I kind of like them, and I think that I could look fairly sharp in a vest and a nice long sleeved shirt, but still be capable of making the outfit as a whole nice and casual. As far as dress pants are concerned, I'm not well off and have no idea what I would be looking for, but I've got a bit of a bubble butt, so slimming would be good. :-p 2. Good quality winter clothing and such - This includes gloves, hats, jackets, and scarves. 3. I need a new haircut. - I need a new one badly, I won't burn your eyes with pictures of the way the person at haircuttery butchered my haircut, but lets just assume that I can grow it out to whatever, and would prefer a minimal amount of real maintenance to sustain, whatever would fit the shape of my face really. Side view: + Show Spoiler +Front view w/o glasses: + Show Spoiler +Front view w/ glasses: + Show Spoiler +I hope this isn't overwhelming, I'm just trying to put together a nice and necessary wardrobe for college if humanly possible, I also have literally no dress clothing and all of one winter hat, that happens to be a chicken hat. I'm generally underequipped. Thanks in advance. <3
Dressing like this for an art school? Loooooool
I randomly click on this thread and always run into gems.
Last time we did an event at a random art college students looked more like homeless people, wearing rags for clothing, usually a mix of purple, black and green with non-matching nails and pretentious 0 hairdo (some look unwashed)
gl with the outfit, they'll think ure an undercover cop or a rapist
Edit - oh shit didnt see the pic. You should fit right in

I just thought it will be the right thread to ask you guys this. I am about 7 hours away from my friend engagement party. I have never been to an engagement party. I don't have much cloth for this type of event (tbh i have my business suits that I bought 5-6 years ago, but somewhat too loose). I was thinking that maybe jeans, dress shirt + blazer will be a gogo or the usual suit? Its kind of last minute but great help will be appreciated.

Well, if its an engagement party, I don't think the full suit will really be necessary, I think what you have in mind is suitable, but you should probably wait for someone with an informed opinion before you make any decisions. :-p

What's everyone input on a buzz head haircut? I just basically buzz everything off... I'm in the military and I've had this style for a while now. There's certain style in the Army(also my platoon standards) I can have, but I don't want to spend 7 bucks just to get a haircut. Hair cuts on base is not free even if you buzz cut lol I have my own clippers to save money.
I'm always watching Korean dramas and I love how the men dress. Downside is that they have hair cuts that would not be aloud in the army and don't know of those styles would look good on me with my haircut.
Also even with my head buzzed I don't know why types of clothes that would look good. I'm that guy that wears v necks surfing brands, skinny straight jeans, zip up hoodies and van looking shoes.
I'm ready for a major wardrobe change! I want to impress my mom and my friends when I come home on leave in July.

I don't quite understand. You start by asking for opinions about a buzzcut, but basically go on to say that you don't really have a choice in this matter. Are you asking for wardrobe advice as opposed to hair advice?

Yeah sorry, I started it out wrong...I'm mainly looking for wardrobe advice that works with buzzcuts.

If you're thinking James Bond you should pick the first shoes and look at other sunglasses. I recommend Carrera/D&G/Gucci/DSquared, the ones u were choosing between are way too sporty.
Remember that the small things are important, for example, a shirt that matches your accesoars will make you look better.

I've done some quick looking through all 4, but are there any slim ones that don't look sporty? All of the ones I saw looked a bit too large tbh.

It "should" end around the wrist bone, but if you say it is too short then it probably is! It should be slightly shorter than a typical button down shirt so that you show 1-2cm (or so) of the cuff...

By the way you know your arms may actually have different length ! Your legs may, and your feet may have difference size, its quite common (but yeah, some with almost no difference, some with larger difference). Our body is divided in half after all, with one side not exactly same as the other.
And about buying "off the rack". You can always go to a tailor to fix everything
There are a few standard rules to how a suit should fit, but in the end of the day f*** those rules and do whatever you want, and if you think it looks and feels to short in the arms just adjust it
Edit: Yeah also, perhaps you have a long wrist and a length difference where your wrist bone is and your hand starts that makes that visual impression for you. Everyone is unique, so a tailor is always a must!
