I've been wearing these brown Lacoste shoes but i feel like they don't really match ( I also heard you're not supposed to wear brown shoes with black pants??). I'm looking for a more casual type of shoe I can wear anywhere( mostly just to school). Oh, and I'm 19 if that's of any relevance. Thanks! the 'rule' only applies to formal dress, so black trousers/slacks/whatever with brown leather shoes is a no-go. you're asking what goes with one of the most ubiquitous pieces of clothing, it's like asking what goes well with a white t-shirt. you could literally wear any type of shoes barring sandals and it would still look fine.

Any ideas? Trying too hard.
Anyway I really liked Gant's collections for swimwear, at least when I was looking in the summer. Not that affordable though. To be honest, most of my trunks are by Hurley lol. You can only go to the beach so many times in a week.

Thanks for the advice. I guess these brown shoes don't look too bad with black jeans.I'll just hold out until spring/summer when I can whip out my white/purple airforces mm. Also have you guys seen dudes wear these huge scarves outside of korea? I've seen them in korean dramas but never in real life lol. I was thinking about getting one ( -40 here with the windchill) but not entirely sure if its too "out there." I think it'd look pretty sweet with a black trench coat Here's what I'm talking about + Show Spoiler +

Rarely has my jaw dropped from a link someone has posted, but GAWDAYUM! Nearly two grande?!
Albeit it is a nice looking coat.
EDIT: Also, how do you guys feel about coats like that? I see a lot of them around my college campus and I tend to think they look best on thinner people, theres this one muscular bulky dude with a coat similar to this and it really just seems... off on his bulky frame.
Is that just me or do you think coats like that tend to favor the leaner man?

I work on the beach so it's something I care about. Basically my only advice though is to get board shorts and not an elastic waistband, make sure it fits right, and the rest is pretty much just up to you. I prefer simple designs as I feel they have more class.. as far as classy swim trunks go lol.

A trench coat can definitely look good on men with a bigger build, but it'd have to be a more traditional style.
Converted from Levi 514 to 511. My legs are beautiful.

I recently bought a V-neck sweater, one where the V is slightly larger in space. My question is do I have to wear a tie with the shirt I'm wearing because of the extra space, or is wearing a shirt good enough?

Looking to buy my first pair of chinos in probably white or a shade of red, anyone recommend a brand? Looking to spend $80 tops.
