I've tried out various hacks on public FPS servers back when I played those at a very high level. Purely out of curiosity, just wanted to know how it felt playing as a wallhacker or aimbot, particularly because public newbies would call me that all the time anyway. Kind of a shitty thing to do regardless.

Never cheated in a competitive game myself, but when I was much younger (like 13 I geuss), I strongly suspected a teammate was hacking in some important games due to things he did and said, but did nothing about it, regret that quite alot.

in my opinion people who hack in multiplayer games should be killed

But in Singleplayer games i dont care noone comes to harm except the cheater so its fine

Used maphack in wc3 custom games and continue to do so(also use spoof but that doesn't really count...). Was expecting far more wc3 hackers than there has been... You only received a ban if you did it in ladder, so I assumed it was a pretty common occurrence.

When i was younger i used a hacking thing for CS (aimbots and wallhacks) for about a week, and map hack for D2. I never really liked hacking. There was this one time when i was about 7 though that i accidently hacked. I was at a public gaming place and i got on a computer to play some CS. I couldn't figure out why i couldn't see walls, and had the store owner come over and fix it for me. I found out later that the guy playing on it before me was wallhacking.

i couldnt give a flying f**k about white knights, it's the internet, i'm here for fun. if i have more fun by hacking, then i'll hack, if hacking were for attention or a replacement for a social life, then the same could be said about doing anythign in any videogame ever. honestly if games were better put together then perhaps i might not have any motivation to hack.

Nope.

I've tolerated friends using maphacks in RPG Customs in Wc3, otherwise have never knowingly played with someone that used any kind of hack.

Even back when I played BW (terribly) I didn't hack, and just blindly 6pooled people with little scouting.

I used spoof hack on b.net to play against my best BW friend. We would usually never play against each other. Then that guy we didn't like challenges my friend. I suddenly remember I had downloaded the spoof hack. I exit b.net, I start BW with the spoof hack. It works. I spoof the nickname of the guy we didn't like and joined the game my friend hosted. I said "gogo no obs". I beat my friend and he's so mad because he wouldn't have lost against this guy usually. I didn't dare telling my friend I had tricked him.
I never used any other kind of hack, it's not only against my principles, but would simply make the game uninteresting.

Used Aimbot hack years ago for Unreal Tournament 99 but only offline as training tool. I'm very against using hacks in multiplayer.

In Diablo 2: Map hack, various bots, multiple d2 instances but worst of all; I used to hack people

I would spam chat channels with hack propaganda and they'd download my backdoor trojan.

In Counter Strike: The usual, wall hack, aim bot. Anything fun

I used a hack that would allow me to open the online game "Ragnarok" twice on the same computer. This way i was able to buff myself with a second account. But apart from that i hate hacks.
