I've never cheated or hacked in an online game at all, it just doesn't seem fair to take someone else's free time and mess with it so I can win without any of the actual fun of the game being had. If I ever felt the need to cheat in an online game, that'd suggest to me that the game doesn't provide what it needs to by itself to keep me interested and thus isn't the game for me to spend my time on.

Single player is a little different though as there is of course a far stricter limit on the content generally and cheating doesn't affect anyone else so I have definitely used cheats from time to time, when I felt it would make the game more fun for me, which is generally after I've finished it and maybe want to replay it in a certain way.

I voted no. Then I saw everyone's post about d2 and remembered I used to map hack and pick up hack in that game.

Oh and wow arch and fishing bots. Never dared run those on my main account but I was never banned or even warned on my 2nd botting account b

I played 400h hours of Battlefield 2 and I was always top 1-2 every round until I got bored to the game and started wallhacking for a few months just for the lulz, sorry guys .__. Never done that since and I will not.

Nope, but at various stages when I gamed a lot and was a really good non-pro player in some games, I was accused of hacking XD. I wish I had the same motivation with getting good at SC2.

I used to go to swedish counter strike 1.6 cs_assault maps to cheat :D. Only there and only on servers where 50% cheated anyways. I don't know, I guess it was fun back then. Had to be Swedish server tho because I'm Finnish and we fins get extra pleasure when hurting a fellow swedes feelings

and when i was like 8 or 9 i played the settlers 2 (i think its called the settlers in english? ) and i couldnt get past lvl 5 so i cheated t-t

also i hated hackers in cs 1.6 like i challenged a aimbot guy to turn off his hax and i would beat him knife vs weapon and did but later got kicked from my clan because they thought i wallhacked because i beat the rank1 guy in there clan and a random guy 1 vs 2 50 games running no deaths.

I used to use cheats often. I spent alot of time making trainers and releasing them publicly. This was just simple memory editing for games like Planetside (an FPS-MMO). But I pretty much solely used a MH on Diablo 2 (never got caught) and have used bots probably in the amount of my time spent playing games (Multiple computers through Diablo II, EVE online, WoW). When I was a little fastest noob I used to abuse stack hacks and other crap like that. Over the past few years I've grown up alot and have gotten quite competitive since CS:Source released and I started putting alot of time into the games competitive scene. Since then I have stopped using cheats all together in any game. I have alot of time on my hands so I find I dont have to cheat to be competetive, I've played games and played them hard for a long time now it's kind of just natural. I attended alot alot of local lan events for both dota and CS over the years (and some SC2 but I havent really been active for an entire year) and as a result.

TBH i think the majority of people who have played any multiplayer shooter have had their run ins with hackers. It's not hard to get them yourself. I'm really glad that streaming is becoming mainstream now, means I can just stream my games and show some legit shit.

The only time I've used a hack was when my Diablo 2 account was hacked and all my shit was taken. I was so mad afterwards that I used a maphack because I didn't care whether I got banned. Haven't touched any hacks since.

Hacked: Never , not even in Modern Warfare 2 , which is basically the hacker´s paradise.
Fair competetive play >>>>> Aimbotters, Wallhackers etc.

Cheated: Hell yea , try beating the older GTAs (San Andreas, Vice City) without cheats... The most fun I had with the game was a rampage in the city with a cheated tank and 6 police stars ^^
As a little brat everybody used to "clone" Pokemon in Silver/Gold Editions by using the PC and shutting down during the saving process. I was not an exception. :D
Or Pokemon Red/Blue , friggin MISSINGNO. is almost legendary...
