I was gonna say that Tunisia is located in Northern Africa, but then I realized that I am a fat American. I guess I should switch my answer to somewhere in Asia. Xenophobia, Racism, Bigotry, whatever you want to call it, the point is that the attacks are all fueled by the same dislike of a foreign component in our country, by which we feel threatened. I think its unwarranted and that Lowes shouldn't give in to such ridiculous demands.

Well as a graduating student with a bacholers in political science whose studied demographic trends I'd have to laugh. Yeah they are coming, but the immediate threat to the white middle class American is the Hispanic and will be for some time. Hispanics and whites will together drown out the voice of the Islamic presence, and add on top of that the demographic transition of declining birth rates and immigration rates is anticipated for both Hispanic and peoples identified as "Islamic" is projected by the end of the century.

More seriously, how can a group even say something like that? If it was a jewish thing, they wouldn't have a problem, or if they were athiests or agnostics, and especially christians. Oh no, but as soon as the word Muslim comes into the picture, they just jump all over it and claim its the "root of all evil"

I thought my post was fairly clear. : /

Except I specifically stated that it was an idiotic view, so it was clear that it wasn't my own. Yet you somehow got the impression that I was bigoted. Strange. I think illustrating the fact that your bigotry is mirrored in others in ways you probably find offensive is actually a pretty good method of combating it. Never mind, though. Guess the point of my post wasn't as obvious as I thought, so I shall have to work on my clarity.

Canada is discriminitory towards not only Aboriginals but to an extent the French speaking population, particularly in Quebec (although the feeling from what I understand is reciprocated). Granted not to the extent the United States is/has gone but its stil there.

I live in Montreal, and from what I've seen most discrimination is a product of french hillbillies hating on anything that's not french. We have a supermarket chain called "Kim Phat", where you can buy vegetables and weird ass meat that is not normally sold in north america, and not one person who works there could speak to me in english, yet it is a very popular franchise as we respect their culture and the authenticity it brings.

It was clear to me that the Scot and the Tunisian were both both making sarcastic replies to mindbogglingly ignorant comments from that specific American. And I promise, I'm not trying to take sides here. Please do read what those comments are quoting! Edit: On December 13 2011 09:31 GumThief wrote: What in gods name are you talking about? It's the most obvious example of sarcasm there can be! How can some people fail to see it?
