I was gonna say that Tunisia is located in Northern Africa, but then I realized that I am a fat American. I guess I should switch my answer to somewhere in Asia. Xenophobia, Racism, Bigotry, whatever you want to call it, the point is that the attacks are all fueled by the same dislike of a foreign component in our country, by which we feel threatened. More seriously, how can a group even say something like that? If it was a jewish thing, they wouldn't have a problem, or if they were athiests or agnostics, and especially christians. Oh no, but as soon as the word Muslim comes into the picture, they just jump all over it and claim its the "root of all evil" | ||

I live in Montreal, and from what I've seen most discrimination is a product of french hillbillies hating on anything that's not french. We have a supermarket chain called "Kim Phat", where you can buy vegetables and weird ass meat that is not normally sold in north america, and not one person who works there could speak to me in english, yet it is a very popular franchise as we respect their culture and the authenticity it brings. | ||

It was clear to me that the Scot and the Tunisian were both both making sarcastic replies to mindbogglingly ignorant comments from that specific American.
