South Park is an extremely deep show, yet still manages to be absolutely hilarious. It'd be critically acclaimed as one of the best animated series ever if all the moron critics wouldn't immediately dismiss it as "teenage fodder."

Jewbilee episode was funny too.

I laughed so hard when Moses was summoned and they're asking their great lord and savior what he would like, and he paused for a moment and said in that deep god-like voice, "macaroni pictures."

So what would you consider deep, Venice? Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Spring Break Edition, filmed on location in the Bahamas? Or maybe that one episode of NYPD Blue where a guy said "fuck" and they didn't censor it, OMG?

Southpark is as deep as television gets.

Half these people giving OT shit are probably twice as fat as he is. He isn't even really FAT, he's the "socially acceptible and normal" breed of fat. Not the, can't go to a movie because his gigantic ass doesn't fit in the seat, needs to use a stick to dial telephone numbers because he can't with his sausage fingers, airlines force him to buy 2 tickets, gets .0001 miles to the gallon in his honda coupe, kind of fat.

I totally forgot about Towlie. Best animated character EVER. :D

It depends on the individual what show is "deep". Someone might have really related to the ideas, or messages if you will, of a Buffy episode. I would think the majority of ppl would not consider south park "deep" though. It is mostly crude attacks and bathroom humour. Don't get me wrong, it's still funny. It is obvious you are a big fan and I think that's why u would say "Southpark is as deep as television gets". I think the satire in the Simpsons >>> South Park.

Rek: I guess u must have watched earlier episodes only then? Coz there are only a few good ones in the first 3 seasons, it dramatically improves after that tho. The thing is, the first 3 seasons were more about "nothing" (i.e. foul language by itself), while the newer ones are "deep" as Winter said. Yes deep, (and hey BTW - I don't care how deep something is as long as it's starring Sarah Michelle Gellar -.-a) and I mean "deep" as in: you can't actually see all it's trying to say right at once, by the first view - believe me, u cannot. There are those little side-notes along the episodes that I only notice after I watched it, and thought a bit about it. Quite interesting stuff.

So basically what you're saying makes no sense regarding southpark (Its boring NOW (??) - with better episodes, and now that u've grown up a bit to maybe understand smtg? C'mon.), but rather implies on ur "Hey I'm so mature now, I can't be watching cartoons, what will all my buddies think? :[" sort of attitude.

Then again I might b wrong.
