I didn't use ad block for teamliquid. But that elephant thing saying "You're hurting esports", which I feel is a really low statement made me turn ad block on because it made me so mad. Whatever I'll look at the elephant, but stop using the "You're hurting esports" thing in my eyes it's out right annoying.

I find the new widened top ad banner to be very very distracting, so I killed it.
I killed the baby elephant that comes after it too because I would feel guilty...

I am fine with the old ad and also ads on sites that I do not visit as frequently.
I ad block commercials in a stream if they are not "controlled": ie, if they are played in the middle of the game, or played whenever I hit refresh. I am fine with watching ads, and will even click on each of them, during downtime.

How exactly does ad revenue work? Am I helping TL simply by looking at the ads (ie disabling adblock) or must I click on the ads for TL to receive any money?

If it's the latter, how many of you people that "LOVE ESPORTS" click on the ads?

Yes I do use adblock but that's only when I'm on my laptop (13") and the ads and other banner stuff clog up half of the screen. But I do turn it off when I'm on an external monitor.

If stream sites didn't play that same commercial over and over, have the volume too loud, and not play ad when first starting stream; then I would turn adblock off.

I don't hate esports, I think it's inappropriate, childish and kinda offensive to suggest that you hate esports because you don't like ads. I enjoy Teamliquid, and I love esports. What I don't like are ads, especially when they're 30 second long ads on streams and most of the time played 2-3 times by money hungry streamers. I have adblock on Teamliquid because I have adblock on everything.

I don't block ads because I refuse to support X website. I block ads because they are annoying, and the site they come from doesn't change that.
