I didn't have the ~~nerve~~ I didn't want to watch all of it, I saw how it started skipped to where he initially attacks her, I saw the mother yell at her and I saw her crying towards the end. This goes beyond disturbing.

im not against spanking, but im against this shit. nothing ever calls for you to do to a child, much less your own child. that dad seems vindictive and controlling rather than just mad and punishing her. hope this ends his legal career

I find the situation in this case disgusting if all the facts are indeed true, and that man should be locked up. But corporal punishment isn't a horrendous sign of "bad parenting". I feel like the way the punishment is delivered (what is said, why, etc) is more potentially scarring than the act itself.

Just think THAT should be the focus of what went wrong here, what's truly disgusting about the video. Circumstance is what makes this terrible, not the punishment itself. At least for me.

One of the tags for the video is "kazaa" so it's most likely because she was pirating stuff. Since it's his house he would be liable if they get sued for copyright infringement, which can cost a bit of money and probably isn't good for his career. Not defending him, just trying to fill in some holes with logical speculation.

besides, anyone that is "against technology" isn't very likely to buy a computer for their daughter with internet access.

I've seen beatings like this but none this bad and ongoing like that... and certainly not for simply using the internet. =/ sadly not much will really come out of this- maybe just a slap on the wrist. But his reputation will surely be hurt because of the fact that he is a judge.

I am interested in hearing about the legality of this\similar situations? In my opinion anything that can be categorized as "beating" a child should be illegal. If it is something that is "illegal" to do to a random person on the street, it should be doubly illegal to do to a defenseless child. One could say that oh people should be allowed to raise their children how they would like to, but imo if you need to resort to beating your children to enforce discipline maybe you are not fit to be a parent.

Interesting how a judge is so apt to beat his daughter. Well, at least she was smart and knew what was coming and recorded it. And how sickening it is. Hope the fucker goes to jail, maybe he'll get to meet some of the people he sent there. Who knows? One can hope..

This doesn't even seem that abnormal to me... I mean he was using probably too much force and cussed a lot with threats but this doesn't seem as far out of the ordinary as people make it seem.
