I saw the Headphone enthusiast thread! and figured why not have a similar thread for speakers? I know that their may not be too much interest in this but might as well see!
Feel free to list all the components of your setup such as subwoofer, DAC, amps, stands, etc. I don't care whether your setup is 50 bucks or 50,000.
Anyway heres my personal home setup. Speakers: Ascend Acoustics Sierra-1's Subwoofer: Rythmik F-12" DAC: Audio-GD DAC-19 Amp: NAD C236BEE

In my lounge: 2x Peavey 300w RMS (@8ohm) SP2XT PA speakers Peavey 1200 Amp - 600w rms x2 Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer
I do most of my music listening etc in the lounge hence why I put this setup. It goes pretty hard :D
Pictures are just from the internet:

Im sorry to be bumping this thread but this is the appropriate thread.
So long story short, my mother has a shitty JVC combi-stereo which has broken. I bemoaned that she'd upgrade and she agreed. So we went to my hifi-store of preference with a loose budget of $2000. After going through a few models (Tannoy Revolution DC4 and DC6, Sonus faber Toy) we actually landed way outside the price range. Tomorrow she will pick up a pair of these beauties:
Vienna Acoustics Haydn SE /w stands + Show Spoiler +
They sounded amazing and I can barely contain my excitement for setting them up tomorrow. The design is superb. The amp was a combi more on the budget side, a Marantz Melody Media. The power supply (2x60w) might be a problem if you really amp up the volume, which she'll never do really.
Maybe I'll post a pic tomorrow
As for my own setup: Stereo: Klipsch rf-42 Amp: Marantz pm6002
