Speculations have been it was some sort of handgun, either a revolver or a semi automatic, and a hunting rifle of some sort. It has been described by kids on the island as a "sniper", and that could mean anything from a bolt action rifle to a full on magazine rifle. However, I find it hard to imagine it is a fully automatic rifle, as those are illegal for private posession. In either case, it's really not that important, and we've had this discussion in the previous thread, so can we just leave it until official sources provide this information? Much abliged.

There are ex serial killers, chainsaw murderers and all kinds of ex-messed up people that have been rehabilitated. your point? Why is "rehabilitation" a goal in and of itself when the individual rehabilitated will never be accepted by society. He'll be kept alive, because that's how Norway does things, but it's a waste of resources.

Fuck I hate it, but I'm kinda curious about the retarded debates about mass-murder-videogames like Warcraft (There's fucking WAR in the name already!!) that lie ahead now. I wonder what video game influenced him to become a right extremist serial murder.

On the topic of the punishment offshoots we always have, it should be brought elsewhere and not detract from this topic more.

They have commented on it several times on TV2 at least, when interviewing the criminal psychology.

Many of the survivors say they are absolutely certain there was more than one shooter. Kind of chilling thought that the second gunman could now be hiding among the survivors, hoping that all the kids who could recognize him are dead. I'm sure that if there was a second gunman, he will be caught. Sooner or later.

how about you state an argument instead of copping out and linking to a wikipedia article?

This has also been pointed out by at least Spiegel Online, so I think both german and norwegian media are rather critical here. For german tv-news: Please dont watch N24 or NTV and take all their stuff for granted, their standarts have not been especially hight during the whole of it.
