In a world with countless perfectly good (genetically speaking) children, breeding does seem inherently selfish. Though with how difficult it can be to obtain one I can understand people choosing breeding for practicality purposes. If people knew that because they chose to breed instead of adopt, that a child will suffer and they would get the updates on the child periodically, would they still choose to breed, for what reason that couldn't be reasonably deemed selfish? | ||

The system is so shitty and so depressing and the longer you look the deeper and blacker it feels. The biggest issue with adoption is that the conversations quickly transform from "lets have a family" into "what is our responsibility as human beings" and suddenly emotions get twisted very very rapidly. I do believe more people should adopt--but I also believe the system shouldn't be so hard... | ||
