I've known quite a few people who did. The main hindrance is actually around hygiene... it's easy to eat, sleep, and play in the woods. Showering is tricky. But if your workplace has a shower or you have a friend who lets you use theirs, you're set.
Of course, the best living deal is when you can live for free (or even get paid) to house-sit some rich fuck's mansion that they only need for a few weeks a year (you camp or crash on a friend's couch for those weeks).

Where the HELL do I cash in on living for free in a mansion for most of a year?

Make friends with the ultra rich.
Mostly by earning trust through service jobs. You babysit somebody's kid, they refer you to somebody to babysit their dog, you do a bang-up job on everything and next thing you know, you're babysitting somebody's house. A certain amount of kissing up to the rich folks helps... convincing them you're one of the "good ones," pretending to share their politics, coming across as that bright kid who's gonna go on to take on the world right after one last adventure! (and by adventure I mean sitting on your ass.)

Let's take that, run with it, and see what the answers are.

a bachelor degree, if nothing else, will land you jobs in that field I guess.

You may gain some industry-specific knowledge, but other than that it's basically just something to distinguish yourselves above all other applicants at a job who don't have a bachelors.

Let's just say that some bachelors give you more transferable skills than others. (I'd guess fashion design goes with "others" in that sense. )

Why you guys no have Spezi? I don't get it. Cola is a global phenomenon, Fanta is of italian origin but orange lemonade should be available everywhere. However, for reasons completely unclear to me, only Germany has created Spezi or Cola-Mix. Spezi is a mixed drink of Cola and Orange lemonade, in Germany you can buy it from every manufacturer of Soda, Coca Cola has MezzoMix, Pepsi has SchwippSchwapp. I haven't found real numbers but i would guess it rivals the popularity of Coke or Pepsi itself. However, if you go to our neighbours, it is suddenly gone. Italy, France, Czech Republic, Norway, Switzerland and Croatia are all countries i visited lately that do not sell it. They also don't seem to have it on the menu of their restaurants where they could mix it themselves. Which is a big problem for me as i can't live without it for a long time. I want to go to vacation, but i can't bring 40 litres of Spezi with me. So, is there Spezi in your country? If not, WHY THE FUCK NOT? It's the best! If Coca Cola Germany is prducing MezzoMix here, why wouldn't they try to introduce it in the USA or France or anywhere else if they find a lot of people like it. Are they just not willing to create competition for their own product? But then, why does not another company without the biggest share come in and try to sell it? At least Americans have a high percentage of people with german heritage, so there should be a market. What's wrong with you?

The rest of the world actually has taste buds.
|
Of all the non-german people I know that know of Spezi, only one like it very much. All the other find it disgusting (I'm not so found of soda in general myself). So my guess would be the cultural habits playing a big role in it.

Might as well ask why the rest of the world doesn't have Marmite (only England), Vegimite (only Australia), Guaraná (Brazil) or licorice (only Scandinavia and Netherlands).
The main reason is that because anybody who didn't grow up with it, tries that stuff and finds it disgusting. Now why do only Germans grow up with this weird mix of coca cola and fanta? That I do not know.

And yet, everyone loves a good baguette!

Whenever I am offered local or other kinds of cultural food, it is often presented as a good thing that you can't find it much outside this region. Myself I think that there often is a reason why no one outside the region is eating it.

Fanta has german origins... I could also ask you why nearly no one has "Rivella".
Diffrent People diffrent tastes/customs.

Fanta is a german beverage but was a drink with apple flavour. They switched it to the italian orange lemonade later. I thought of the comparison between Spezi and Marmite as well but one is a very specific product and the other is just two well known beverages mixed together. We also have Rivella. YOu can get a lot of stuff in german beverage markets or even normal super markets. But in other countries even with strong german ties, you can't find it. For example the coast of Croatia is littered with german bodies come summer, they still don't sell it even if there should be a niche market. I don't get it
And no, you fools, it is not disgusting! It is the best. How can the world not see this. Maybe we need to go to war again...
