But wasn't Constantinople captured by the Venetians which started the Latin Empire? Oh wait, holy shit. Now that I think about it, I know why you are asking this question Stealth.

-Spawn talking to an old lady (his grandma i think) just to say goodbye -then Spawn talking to a demon about what he just did (just a few sentences) -a women gets stalked (as i remember) by a man, who is supposed to be a devil or the devil and thats it, folks. That was the whole comic issue. And after reading other superhero comics, a question comes up to my mind: Why are these comic so short? I mean, asian comics (like mangas from japan) or european comics like asterix have more content. These superhero comics from america...not. Even mickey mouse comics have more content. :/

If you have only a few artists (the superhero usually have like 2 or 3) you can simply create that much for the monthy issues, while the compared asterix is the same amount of artists, but the release cycle is 1-2 years? As for disney and mangas that's simply solved by putting more men to work, so more can be drawn in shorter time.

I'm sorry I feel that I have to say something in this with a little depressing fact. In the Cold War as both USSR and the US were racing to get as many nuclear arms as possible they had intelligent people of course to make them. Now that there is no war between us and the major countries are advocating no nuclear weapons all the intelligent people that worked on the Nuclear missiles are the only ones that can disarm them safely and the problem is that they're either dead or retired/really old. The next generations didn't bother with gaining the knowledge of nuclear weapons. so as of now we still have some missiles from the 60's ready to go but aren't needed. That's sad to me.... We're not smart anymore

Are there other examples of things like this that have a location-specific name by which they are known by in pretty much everywhere BUT said location? There definitely are, I remember two more (in that I know there are but not well enough to recall them) We have a few of those in germany. A "Berliner" is a jam filled donut, but in berlin it's just called a donut(in german ofc). In Cologne people call a kind of beer "Koelsch", but elsewhere people call it undrinkable. Funnily enough, a more international example is syphilis, the disease. It's called german sickness in france, netherlands, poland and some other countries next to germany. It's called french sickness in germany, belgium, spain etc. It's called polish sickness in russia. Basically it's a chain of blaming that started either in germany or france.

I think base 10 is completely retarded in itself and that base 12 is superior, but I guess it's too late to switch.
