Why would civil engineers laugh at that architecture school joke? because architects are kind of "designing" a house with emphasis on good looks while engineers emphasize the "hard facts" like static. thus the engineers look down on the architects like they have no clue how to build a stable house.

Most architects are also stupid with blueprints that are usually inaccurate but looks beautiful because they plugged in all the numbers and then manually tweaked it to make it look nicer and suddenly the engineers are trying to figure out why nothing's fitting together.

When I first turn my car on, it has a higher than normal RPM by design so that the engine warms up faster (somewhere around 2k RPM) - this lasts longer in the winter than it would in the summer, understandably. But once it's up to temp, it idles at a more normal rate (~.5k-.75k) No...... odometer measures mileage (or kilometers whatever, distance traveled). Tachometer is what you are looking for there. What if flies work the same, and this is why they are so good at dodging us when we try to swat at them - because they have twice the consciousness so their reaction time is a lot quicker. CP time and white people time already different, when you spread to the animal kingdom it bound to get worse.

Maybe this can answer the question: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/small-animals-live-in-a-slow-motion-world/ It seems that if you are an animal that can process information faster, then time will seem to move more slowly for you. The way I see it, time is constant and if you can process more information in the same amount of time, then time will be perceived to be moving slower for you.

Actually is not a matter of our brains, but a matter of nature or physics if u prefer. The more smaller the life form/object the more slower will experience time.
