I'm getting really frustrated with university right now. It feels like no matter how hard I prepare, I just can't do well. I failed a math midterm that was so hard that the prof had to omit two questions from marking because nobody got them right and had to curve marks up over 15% because the average was under 40%. Why even bother making the test that hard? It's not that the students don't know how to do the questions, it's that the prof chose the most deceiving questions possible. He had three or four that looked like different types of questions than they actually were and gave us zeros on them for trying to solve the "wrong" type of question. It's not that I'm bad at math either, I had over 80 in my last two "regular" math classes and have got 60s-70s in honours classes and a 90 in Stats and this class isn't even honours math. It just feels like he's making this class hard for the sake of making it hard and in the process screwing over a ton of people. I'm really close to dropping it and taking it next year with a different prof right now but I don't want to set myself even further behind. Plus now my parents keep giving me crap for failing one test even though my mom failed out of university and my dad barely scraped by in business school. They keep saying I've skipped too many classes when in reality I've never skipped 2 of my classes, and only missed the other ones to prepare for midterms.

I just had a physics midterm that was not fair to the students in any way. I did around 40 hours of studying for it, including doing every odd numbered question for the required chapters in the textbook (so I can check answers obviously) along with 4 old midterms until I had them memorized and a bunch of supplementary material and none of it was any help. Only one of the questions was remotely related to our materials and the rest were written in such a convoluted way that it was hard to figure what they were even asking for (This was for a written part where there are 4 questions and you pick 3). My lab partner thinks she failed it and she had really high mark in the first term version of this class. I just don't get it, am I doing something wrong or do they want me to fail? I've done nothing but study for the last month and none of it is paying off. I should have just stayed in business school and slacked off like most of my friends instead of doing something I actually had interest in.

I'm still waiting to finally break down so that I can pick myself back up and get my motivation back. Exams and problem sets.

Fucking Revoki clan. So they start complaining about Mutas having no counter. I said Phoenix, with enough practice, are a good way to stop all Mutas. After all, since Protoss APM is so low, if you stop the Mutas, then you really don't have to worry about anything else! You have map control and can just turtle.

So RevLoton says that Phoenix can't kite Mutalisks. Basically all these BM Revoki members jump on me and say that Phoenix, with perfect internet and no delay, and no mistakes, can kite Mutalisks.

Then I say I agree, therefore it is DOABLE. But they just kept BM'ing me and pull the "oh you're in X league you suck, etc. etc." I commented how it is DOABLE but then they disagree. WTF?

Then I said that there's a difference between whether something is too hard or not, whether it's worth it. For me, I have no problem micro'ing Phoenix vs Mutalisks. For them, I guess it's not the best. So I told them maybe you should just practice.

Then they just keep BM'ing me and saying how it's not doable, cus it's impractical. While they keep contradicting themselves by saying that Phoenix do have more range and move faster.

Sigh. Revoki is a team full of BM, everyone I've encountered except their manager is MAJOR BM. Take caution to stay away from them.

So I have to have a 'valid reason' to change my availability? Is the fact that this job is straight up ruining my life a good enough reason? I don't sleep, I don't eat properly, I can't go out, I barely see my girlfriend, almost every day off I actually get is spent in bed exhausted, I can't quit smoking because I swear I'll have a nervous breakdown, I don't wish to be dramatic but I can't fucking live like this any more.

And you WON'T PROMOTE ME. Everyone at that fucking place, every single god damn one of them knows that I deserve it. I know they've told you, every time you ask who should be next in line for promotion, it's me. But you won't do it. You fucking took me off of the managers course that your predecessor put me on, nominally because I was late ONE TIME. And yet you insist on pushing through the promotion of someone who repeatedly walks out of shifts, who can't do his basic job properly, who is late consistently, who cheated on his exam to get on the course. So do you just not like me? That is certainly the impression that I get when I stay for 30 fucking hours twice in the same week because you have a visit from your boss coming up and shit needs to get done and you can't even fucking thank me.

Why do I do it? Because the way you run this fucking shit hole means that if I don't stay then one of my friends gets fucked. Either I stay all day then all night and then some, or one of them has to do it by themselves and call me a mug but I can't stand to watch my friends suffer by themselves so I stay not for you or the money but for them. And then when I say after thirty hours that I HAVE TO GO HOME BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET BACK TO WORK IN LESS THAN 6 HOURS TIME FOR THE FUCKING VISIT ITSELF, YOU SAY I'M SHOWING A LACK OF COMMITMENT? THERE'S "PLENTY OF JOBS TO BE GETTING ON WITH"? ALL CAPS BECAUSE I'M FUCKING SCREAMING THIS.

Here's a valid reason for changing my availability. Stop giving me all night shifts followed by morning shifts followed by 4pm till 3am for fifteen days in a row or I quit and you have no employee willing to do late shifts and no one who even knows how and it'll be six months until you can train someone to do what I do as well as I do it. You are the worst person I have ever met, truly.

Why can't people just effing listen?

I'm at work, right? And I work at a restaurant, 'cause that're relevant. And it's getting busy and there are 6+ people on the line (making food, grilling, doing salads, etc). In other words, there are enough people there that everything should go smoothly. But it doesn't go smoothly...'cause people can't just stfu, stop effing around, and pay the eff attention to the guy calling tickets so food can gtfo and I can go the eff home!

Like...seriously...when shit starts hitting the fan...stfu...and get the eff to work! Common sense, right? Yeah...I guess if you're not a retard...a bunch of which I just so happen to work with...retards >_<!

So dumb...I could have been home an hour ago...played a few rage-inducing games of sc2, and been happier...if it weren't for stupid jackasses that can't just stfu and listen...>_<!
