I'm actually kind of glad social media wasn't a thing when I was born/a small child... I'm actively trying to find and destroy all baby pictures of me that are not in the possession of my parents, and I'd hate 1000 pics of me at age 1 to be floating around the internet.

Only 1000? I have like 3-4 friends that take and post about 40 pics a week. One of my cousins has uploaded 3241 pictures and i'd say 3100+ are in the last 4 years. Her kid is 4. Cannt wait for this kid to be 8 or so and be like "Mom, have you seen me without a camera infront of you?"

Fuck car problems. I drive an old piece of crap and it's starting to develop problems that could soon end up costing more than the entire car is worth to fix. I could get me a new or at least a recent car, but then the problems that come with those are even more expensive to fix and the car doesn't end up being any more reliable. Now I have to go buy some power steering fluid, but odds are that it's leaking or that the pump is faulty.

And knowing essentially every garage ever, even if it's just a leak they won't simply fix the leak, they'll also tell me it was the pump, charge me $200 for it even though it cost them $50 for the used piece of crap, and charge me an extra $150 for 45 minutes of labor, and why not $50 for the tubing to replace my dried up old garbage. Cause old dirty fucking scam artist with limited technical knowledge gotta get paid... And I can't defend myself either, I don't know any of this shit.

I feel embarrassed and damn near humiliated every time I pay a garage because there's the possibility that the guy knows I'm being screwed out of my money and I'm there, just a dumbass with a credit card.

I hate some threads on TL here that are not modded properly. For example the Awesome/confusing BM thread. So many people posting their own BM even if one of the rules is "DO NOT POST YOUR OWN BM" . Or they post some generic BM that everyone recieves on ladder and is not funny.

But what is even worse than this thread is the Anime Discussion Thread. To make this clear: Im a big Anime Fan myself, to the point that I actually like them even more than real movies (fed up with that Hollywood crap). But man people in this thread are HORRIBLE. So many people that hate/troll on certain Animes ala "Anime xyz is cancer" that are actually masterpieces. WTF guys seriously? Its okay if you dont like some of them,you dont need to like what everyone likes and dont need to like everything either Im totally fine with that. But FFS give a reasonable opinion or at least something objective.
I know this is Internet and people like to abuse the fact that they are anonymus, but sometimes Im really questioning what kind of person is sitting in front of the monitor f they come up with a post like that. They should really rename it in "Anime Bashing" cause thats what people mostly do there. I know for sure that I wont look up in that thread anymore when searching for Anime opinions/recommendations.
Will stick to my roots and make my own opinion about my hobby like I did for years.

At times, I just wonder if the hardcore otakus really care if an anime/manga is good or if they just want to appear well read. In other words, an otaku is someone who would say Twilight is the best thing in the world if it was not popular but would just as likely condemn it if it was popular (which it is)
