Usually takes me seven minutes to drive home from school, five if I can time all the lights perfectly. Took me 33 today because of all the snow.

Ten in the school parking lot trying to maneuver through more gridlock than your average session of the US Congress. Would've been more but a ghetto kid in front of me got out of her car just to yell at everyone and it somehow got everyone's shit together. Thirteen driving down a road that takes fifteen seconds to clear under normal conditions, with maybe 10 feet of motion for every 30 seconds of not-motion. Ten more to get home which isn't too bad given that it's six without the snow.

I love this kind of weather because it's beautiful and I get to do nothing for the next two days, but fuck the shitty roads in my school because on an average day they're already packed with cars, let alone in this kind of weather. You know how hard it is to fit 2,200 people on a two-lane road that's paved by student volunteers?

Fuck the people who decided they'd rather spend the money on fancy calendars and artsy-fartsy programs designed to do nothing other than get more people invested into things they're not going to do ever again once they go to college. Our town used to be famous for putting the minimum amount of money into the education system to keep it above-average for a suburban town, then dumping everything else into road construction. Now there's potholes everywhere, the highway that was supposed to be finished this year is still far from done, and there's still a fucking two-lane road that 2,200 souls have to move through every day just to get to highschool.

My commute takes roughly 1h15 to sometimes up to 2h on the way back home. I only live 30km away. Public transit is horrible. I could make it 15-20 minutes faster if I drove there, but it'd end up being a lot more expensive (and slower when there's a lot of traffic because bus lane is good). Not to mention I'd have to concentrate on driving which means less time to read and study.

Living in the suburbs is horrible.

I feel you bro, 3h commuting a day master race reporting in. Worst of it is that most of the time I can't even read, let alone sit in the fucking train.

I actually like nina's rants. They are much more original and worthwhile than the imba whine and the friendzone bullshit.

They sound like your typical whiny rants about everything, to be quite frank. The kid does have some spicy writing, but the text remains empty from actual content.

Some of her points are great or at least interesting, even if I don't agree with them. Others are completely myopic and make my anus clench, although I guess the OP says let the reader beware for that exact reason. The BW stuff I just skip because I haven't been a part of iCCup and have no idea wtf she's talking about.

Having things to vent, even a lot, doesn't make you annoying or otherwise in normal circumstances, it's why it's called venting

The reason her rants are awesome, and this was apparently lost on you guys, is that it's awesome to see that other people get maddeningly frustrated, just like we do. Ninazerg in particular however, gets so much more ticked off that it easily ends up being funny, and it can make you look at whatever has been weighing on you, and realize it may not be so bad. Others are also going through the same shit.

I'm fucking pissed right now. My eyes are sore, feel "cold", irritated or dry all the fucking time. This has been going on for over a week and I don't know what to do. I went to an optometrist, she seemed pretty sure that it was going to be fine although she barely looked into it.

Reading around the webs, it looks like it very well could be a chronic condition. And here I am, a guy with 20/20 eyesight with constant discomfort in my eyes. It's completely maddening and it may be one of those things that plague me for the rest of my days.I have trouble reading for extended amounts of time. I have trouble playing games. I have to take very lengthy breaks from the computer. As a gamer and an academic, it's horrible.

I use ointments to sleep which is annoying enough, I don't care for putting little goop in my eye. I also use eyedrops which are hit or miss, both literally because I can't aim and figuratively because sometimes they provide relief for a whopping 10 seconds before I'm completely disabled again and can't fucking live my god damn life.

PS: Since I need PC breaks, please recommend good audiobooks about history or fantasy, maybe sci fi? Thanks. Fuck my life. GG. Much love.

Now that I think about it, I am going to prepare a bunch of snacks, hook up my laptop to the TV out of reach, sit on my bed, and listen to Kafka for the third time. This is going to be a very good night.
