I don't even think its hockey fans. I've been watching one of the streams and there are literally people dressed up in all black with black bandanas an dark sunglasses going into stores and just causing trouble in general.

If MMA loses on Friday I'm lighting my neighbors cars and house on fire! Honestly though, people rioting to riot is just funny. I feel sad for those police officers that have to go back to the station in another officers car and tell the boss their car is on fire.

All the canadians in this thread are so polite, haha
This news of these riots was shocking to me because I didn't know canadians could get that upset.

With everything I've been listening to, this isn't a media overreaction. The riots were that bad and started quickly.

Lol @ riots over Hockey. People just make no sense sometimes.
But yeah, I'm glad Boston finished what Chicago almost started+nearly ended.

holy cow...if this is how MLG finals will be in the future...im scared for idra.....wasnt really rooting for either team in this series but this getting to game seven really was cool...i spent alot of time drunk in bars watching hockey these last few weeks, but it is crazy seeing riots = /

You don't understand. Hockey is Canada's sport. over 16 million people viewed it, and our population isn't massive. I'm not endorsing the actions of the rioters, but you will never understand the Canadian's passion for Hockey. From the day a Canadian is born, Hockey is in your blood.

I'm surprised everyone didnt' expect this like a week ago.

As a Calgarian/Canadian it's really upsetting to see what I'm seeing in Vancouver atm. Canadians as a whole are better than that and rioting over a hockey game really misrepresents not only Vancouver but Canada as a whole on the international stage.
I swear, we're friendly and awesome!

no, they were gonna riot win or lose. some people are just retarded like that.

And I thought Raider fans in Oakland were crazy. Pretty ironic too seeing that hockey is Canada's sport and they lost lopsidedly to an American team.

I was in a LoL match when I heard about this, it was from a dude in the match who said he was in Vancouver and people were flipping the fuck out outside...I thought he was trolling.......

An American team with 3 American players on the entire team -.-
This happens every time, an American team will win the cup and that team has only 1-2 Americans on the team

4-3 isn't really lopsided, although by the overall performance of Vancouver it should've been 4-0 for Boston lol (this is coming from a diehard Canucks fan that lives in Vancouver too :|)
I think it would've been better if Vancouver was more experienced to these types of losses. Boston has had teams crash on them (celtics/patriots/redsox) and also win (same teams) year in and year out. Vancouver only has the Canucks. No NBA teams (rip Grizzlies), no MLB teams, and CFL/Soccer is a joke.

Yeah, they're neither Canucks fans nor hockey fans. The real fans in the arena (after booing Bettman- heh, heh) gave a cheering salute to the Bruins and especially to Tim Thomas. Them's the real fans.
These rioters were kiddies when the Vancouver '94 post-final riot and wanted to replicate the event. Idiots.

Yeah there's actually more Canadians on the Boston roster than the Vancouver roster lol

Yeah, I think 16/22 of the Boston players were from Canada, and all of the coaches/trainers as well.
I'm hearing rumors that a Boston fan was killed. Anyone have a source?
