When I first saw it I thought it was the most beautiful guitar I had ever seen and I knew I had to own it. The gold on black tuning machines with trees with falling branches and leaves design in the background is exquisite. I also love how the Cedar top and Rosewood back and sides work so well together. Not to mention it sounds great too!

I play mostly Classical music and I'm trying to get better at sight reading sheet music. My favorite guitarist is Eduardo Fernandez. I saw him perform live at the Sundin Hall here in Minnesota and it was simply amazing. Being able to play those technically demanding pieces that Eduardo performed will take me years to attain, but it's one of my goals!

Beautiful guitar! I have much love for classical. I've gone through the last 12 years of my life hearing, "why are the nails on your right hand so long?!" Accept when I worked at a guitar shop then I would get random compliments or "Are they real?" haha.

ok i recorded just now with the sound on...although i mute the sound coz it puts me off then add the amp afterwards..... i do have a lag free usb audio interface / headphones setup now but won't bother to practice with it until next week (after i quit my job)

this is an effect that makes it sound better than it is (and it sounds like shit)

still a long way to go just to make notes sound when i play them. practicing without amp is reaaally bad coz acoustically you are just fine with whatever sound comes out but an amp is way more sensitive to how it deals with the sound so needs a LOT better and more precise technique

oh yeah my fingers are wrecked from failing last night so ..well u will see how much i am able to bend lol

Sounds like you're clipping the recording.

Honestly the playing doesn't seem bad, just that you're trying to play things harder than what you can play. That's probably a good thing if your practicing to improve technique. Not much use practicing what you can already do. It can be good to master it at a slower speed and then get faster over time, though. Do you play with a metronome or anything?

When you're practicing to improve your technical skill/mechanics, i find it's really good to play with a completely clean sound. Distortion can hide a lot of imperfections in your playing, but if you can play something clean and make it sound good, it'll sound good with gain too. This is also why shitty players that try to shred and fail at it usually use way way way too much distortion.

i clip down to a clean run/portion since i sit there with the recording on for a while failing and repeating the same 4 notes

i dont use metronome, i did use it for a bit in the endless rain solo coz i just COULDNT get the timing for that from just practicing under my own speeds. i know metronome is awesome for pushing your limits in a deliberate manner but i aint got time for that shit atm

here ill see if i can record endless rain too

i practice with my amp off like i said and that's why i sound like shit when i turn it on. coz i dont hit strings hard or cleanly enough coz everything sounds fine acoustic. i look forward to practicing with amp on and a nasty sound coming out so i can become clean as i can

I have never gotten that, however my girlfriend does think it looks weird to have the nails on one hand long and the nails on the other clipped short lol.

12 years is a long time! I've only been playing for a year or so. Do you do play professionally?

yeah i realised that it is actually played in drop half so i played it all this time to a backing track a half step off without noticing... gj

and also my strat isn't long enuff anymore damnit :D

oh yeah the bit that u need a metronome for is at it 40s you need to be really fast in the slide down (whilst also pressing pretty hard to get the hammer off thing to sound)

I mean your levels are too high and are clipping off in your recording software or something. Usually some light will be turning red when this happens or something. Some type of digital clipping/distortion. It's possible to happen when compressing for a youtube video as well I think. The peaks of the waveform are clipped off because digital audio has a cap to how high the level can go.

whats the symptom you're experiencing? i dont notice anything apart from shit playing.
maybe my input volume is too high, i can turn it down (im acutally plugged into audio interface not rocksmith)

Recording software shows audio clipping usually. I use audacity and if stuff clips off it shows red lines over the track.

Yeah if it's like my scarlet interface it should have a light that turns orange/red near the jack or input level knob. If your going into amp software it might be the output level of that that should be turned down, if it's still clipping in the software but not at the interface.

ok i cant fucking figure out what clipping sounds like, i'm guessing its coz i have 1 shitty speaker (1 is broken wire) so cant hear shit. dont worry about it ill turn it down next time

It's exactly like guitar overdrive or distortion. When the input signal exceeds what the system can handle, part of the signal is clipped in both; the only difference is, for guitars it's great, for audio recording it isn't.
