Keep it civil guys.
Alright I am sick of warning people: Trolling, flame baiting, and derailing will result in insta bans. The same goes for conspiracy theorists and stupidity generally.
Confirmation was as follows - On-site DNA test which came back as 99% positive. - photos of face sent to CIA and confirmed with photo analysis - confirmed by 20 year old wife who live in pakistan.
This thread is specifically dedicated to the details surrounding the raid/his death. |

Right, right, right. I've seen Star Wars, too. I love those movies but I just can't get the reference.
Obi-Wan's death martyr'd him to Luke. I think that's the reference. He says that in death he'll become more powerful than Vader could ever imagine, right?

Happy that he's dead, but damn...All that tax payer money and more importantly, human lives wasted in order to take him out.Maybe i'm wrong.
Your wrong cause not every single tax dollar as far as war efforts go are directed toward killing one person. Never have been and never will be.

If it means we can finally get the fuck out of the middle east and start fixing shit back home then I will be happy, but I seriously doubt this will happen. Well now Obama can (hopefully) begin pulling troops out of the Middle East and say mission accomplished, because this time there are actual results to show. Half the US (read: Republicans) would be angry if Obama began a full withdrawal under normal circumstances, but now they'll be a lot more open to the idea.

As a Canadian I must say I too feel some pride that this bastard has finally been caught and killed. Hopefully whoever found him put him through some of the same kind of pain that Osama put the victims of 9/11 and other Al-Qaeda-based terrorist attacks through.
It's a proud day for everyone who is against terror man, not just the USA. This just has to be a huge blow to our enemies.

I'm still getting "beginning shortly" Nope, he's just late. Apparently the American people come lower than some Congressional Committees on the "List of People of Notify." He'll come on eventually.... This is probably one of his more important speeches. He may want to get it right...
The stuff I've been reading says that they've know for a week that they've gotten him so he's had a while. But yes, he probably has more important things to do, as un-democratic as that sounds.

Damn I had forgotten about him it's been so long. I remember now that I played a UMS map in BW where one side protected Bin Laden and the other side was builders/bombers and that was a really old UMS too. Thinking about it now that game was unrealistic for a number of game reasons but also in the fact if you killed Bind Laden in a bunker/cave you wouldn't know you killed him until much later if ever.
Having trouble finding an article that sums up what is said on the streams.

Just saw this on the local news.
FINALLY he died?

Now, show that son of bitch's body to the rest of the world as a proof and bury it under pig entrails.

Obi Wan, right before Vader kills him, says: "You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

I want some good macro's to give me a laugh. Too bad

Actually Bush can;t really get credit for anything due to that certain question and that god awful response "haven;t really thought about him in sometime" or something like that.
Also it is apparently Mission Accomplished anniversary?

not died, killed. he got a bullet between the eyes.

So if this was done by CIA operatives on the ground (which seems to be the case), I think the gaming industry just got a new level for the next set of MoH/CoD/BF games.

This is pretty crazy. I thought they were never going to get him. I wonder if he was betrayed or if the US is just that bad ass at hunting down people.
