Keep it civil guys. Alright I am sick of warning people: Trolling, flame baiting, and derailing will result in insta bans. The same goes for conspiracy theorists and stupidity generally. Confirmation was as follows - On-site DNA test which came back as 99% positive. - photos of face sent to CIA and confirmed with photo analysis - confirmed by 20 year old wife who live in pakistan. This thread is specifically dedicated to the details surrounding the raid/his death.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that the SEALS were ordered to capture him, but he shot himself before they could and/or he was waving a gun around, threatening the life of a SEAL pointing a gun at at him, and he killed him in self-defense (both entirely plausible outcomes, given the information we currently have). Part of being human is being able to control your instincts. In fact, I'd argue that self-control is a large part of what separates us from animals. He would need to prove his ridiculous claim first though.

If Justice exist, it's precisely to do something about the vicious circle of violence created by the "instinct of retribution". We are not animals. We deal with our instinct, and the same way you don't go and rape people you find attractive, you don't wish someone to be tortured to death whatever he has done. Unless something is really damn wrong with your moral education.

Cool, then maybe its worth keeping those entirely plausible outcomes in mind instead of assuming everything negative one possibly can about the situation.

I am asking a sensible TL member to create a new thread. If you want to take up that task please: 1) Present the information that has transpired so far including links to sources 2) Leave opinion out of the original post 3) Keep the thread updated as more news come in. This is especially important as people will get banned for not reading the OP. If you want to take that responsibility, please go ahead and make the new thread.
