Probably won't have much affect, head of the hydra and all that Osama was always more of a money-man and motivational speaker than a guy who made plans. He had final say but Zawahiri is the guy who makes al-Qaeda work, al-Qaeda wasn't nothing until he merged his Egyptian Islamic Jihad with it. It's a big propaganda victory and it means that there's no way we're going to stop using drones any time soon. In fact we'll probably start bombing Pakistan more frequently. With Pakistan's private approval. And we're already doing it quite a lot. We aren't fighting just three wars one of them two has fronts so it's more like four wars. How many more now that drones are advanced enough to conduct anti-guerilla warfare indefinitely... oh well remember what the Simpsons said: wars will be fought by robots, on top of a mountain or something. That's not so bad is it? The Simpsons predicts the future again! | ||

I know specifically that Wikileaks had brokered a deal with the Guardian to release the cables at specific times (and the other news channels like the New York Times got their information from the Guardian), so if you can't find it in any sources, it isn't true. | ||
