TDKR is very Hollywood. It's even more so than TDK and BB were.
It was a decent film. I'd even call it good, but it's just entertainment.

+ Show Spoiler +I thought the way Bane died was horrible. I was expecting a epic fight scene between him and Batman where Batman somehow beats him straight up, not shot in the face . Regardless, I personally wanted to see more Batman, not Bruce Wayne.

Didn't you notice that batman came down on his plane and EMP'd the tanks just in time? That's why they weren't shooting.

You spend the whole fucking movie setting up an intelligent, ruthless villain only to decide that you want to switch gears to a weaker villain/actor in Tate/Talia. Something about having him taken out by Catwoman and a rocket from the batcycle was just... wrong. I loved Bane by the hour and a half mark so I hope you see why it got to me. The final death scene of Talia/Tate was just god-awful. The cliche closing of the eyes, cock head away death is just laughable, mainly because she can't pull it off.
Yep, this summarizes what I found wrong with the movie. Other than that though, I thought it was quite good.

The movie was brilliant, except for that already highlighted point about Bane randomly being switched out as a secondary villain in the last minutes of the movie.
In the Dark Knight we got to see The Joker being an absolute badass the whole way through, and Two- Face did not really compete majorly with him.
That fight scene between Batman and Bane midway through when Catwoman leads him into the tread is absolutely epic though. Bane was such a friggin tank, and the way he presented the speech about the dark ... HNNNGH!
Also, catwoman on the bike. ;]

TDK is a Hollywood movie with a huge budget. That didn't prevent it from being incredible. Obviously there are lots of crappy Hollywood movies, but that doesn't mean that some of them can't be great.

Only superhero movie that was incredible was TDK. I would rate TDKR about Xmen 2 level.

I'm so surprised everyone is taken by the 'sudden revealing' of Robin. 2nd time I saw the guy on screen I guessed it was him. Lol

I believe the movie should have ended with Alfred looking directly at the camera, and then just cut it off. Would have given it a more interesting ending, not this all-is-well-tinkerbell-shit.
TDKR doesn't compare to TDK.

What a great movie! It was very well done. A little corny sometimes, but that did not ruin it for me. Great job by Anne Hathaway especially.
Bane was a little one dimensional to co-carry a 3 hour movie. He was scary at first, but I got a little bored with him as the movie progressed. I don't think the Talia twist did anything good for the movie. Would have been better if Bane was the main villain and they had spent some more time building his character by showing more of his background.
9/10

Except if anything he's the new batman, not a robin.

Thing about bane is that he even in comics is never mastermind and main villan, he is guy hired to stand up to batman.

Depends on which novels you read.

I think his point was that the villains all had weapons like AK47s (which EMPs don't really do a lot against) whilst the police had peashooters, yet the 2 groups still charged into a fistfight...
Perhaps you shouldn't throw stones when living in a glasshouse.

Then that doesn't explain why the women handing him the package says something along the lines of "You should use your real name, I like it... Robin"

What does that even mean? So his name is Robin? Are you unaware of the fact that none of the Robin's have the name Robin in their actual real names? This only confirms Robin is part of his real name.

Well I somewhat agree with you that this movie is another blockbuster, saying that it was nothing more than that is selling it a bit short imo. The movies you mentioned are all very different from this genre of movie, and perhaps they are also simply better. But considering that 2000 - 20XX superhero movies are becoming a genre of it's own, I think we can safely say that Christopher Nolan managed to make three movies that might be the ones people will still remember in 20 years (imo).
