Jesus, it's like there's some unwritten law that any person who reaches adulthood should completely forget that they were 16 once.
No, I can honestly say I have never danced to britney spears or boy bands, ever.
Same here,, i've had some nice intimate moments with boyband music in my teens,, but thats it,,
My girlfriend brought up some great points when I showed her this video:
1. At least she's not singing about sex, drugs, and drinking like every other vapid pop star. 2. At least she's not dressed like a slut like every other female pop star.
I can't disagree there. As much as I hate the song, at least there's some relatively innocent music out there for young kids to enjoy (as only young kids can) without filling their heads with terrible messages.
Do you actually expect these things from other 13 year old singers?

Yeah, why did the Beatles and the Eagles have to write such filthy, corrupting shit for music?
Regardless of the amount of vulgarities in it, the song is as devoid of meaning/emotion/feeling as all the other terrible music. Some of the best music, however, stems from drugs, sex and drinking. Think about Green Day now (terrible) compared to when they use to lock themselves in a room, get hammered and write songs. At 13, 23, 53, 103 years old, Basketcase is still an infinitely better song than 21 Guns.
If the argument is that those songs send a damaging message to young girls while this doesn't, I'm not sure I agree with that either. Leaving people vapid is no good and in the realm of love songs, Taylor Swift is innocent as hell, and her songs are as detrimental as can be. Certainly more than Lady Gaga or Christina Aguilara.
Also, the comparison to Britney Spears/NSync/etc. really isn't apt. Not only could Britney Spears actually sing, but she could dance and she was unbelievably hot. This is none of those.

They accidentally ran into her.
Discussing 'why' for anything that happens in the Rebecca Black - Friday music video is, in it's self a form of group virtualized paint sniffing for the pursuit of inducing cerebral aneurysms.
Lol is the song really that bad? Not a song expert or anything. Besides the lyric which was quite straightforward, I found the song's music quite catchy. I been listening to it more than once.

Bieber can actually sing, as much as we hate him, the kid can sing. This girl cannot. At all. There are people with wayyyy more talent who don't get their chance and this twat does? The big difference here is that those boybands and Britney spears can actually sing. Sure they were annoying, but they had talent
