Crisis in Japan - Page 19
Forum Index > General Forum |
Thread is about the various issues surrounding Japan in the aftermath of the recent earthquake. Don't bring the shit side of the internet to the thread, and post with the realization that this thread is very important, and very real, to your fellow members. Do not post speculative and unconfirmed news you saw on TV or anywhere else. Generally the more dramatic it sounds the less likely it's true.

I'm sad this is going on but I'm also sad people seem to have forgot other things that happened. Just 7 years ago and 220,000+ casualties Well, it's not really a contest. For a lot of the younger people here 7 years was long ago perhaps before they've been paying attention to the news. Regardless, this one is big, but I hope the causalities stay low. Much lower.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted. I'm just a little worried. We've had several tsunami warnings in the past decade or so in my town. The entire west coast of North America could be impacted and it's expected to cause damage. :/

I'm sad this is going on but I'm also sad people seem to have forgot other things that happened. Just 7 years ago and 220,000+ casualties I clearly remember 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. In fact, I think there will be less casualties this time around thanks to that. Governments around the world are more prepared to send out tsunami alerts.
