Anyway, if you've never heard this speech I think you should take a few minutes and listen very carefully to the words of a great man and think about what is going on in this situation with wikileaks. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1710662559138481080# Words greater will never be said by a president again.

Is that really the reason fuckin hes arrested? Not wearing a condom? I hope your joking (The article i read just called it "Sexual offences").

It was consensual sex and she accused him of rape but later it was turned over cause it was impossible to prove because she threw a party for him a day after the supposad rape and the 2nd woman was same case except they went out to eat after and she bought him a train ticket. its now being called Sex by surprise which a $700 fine. The problem is that someone published some really nasty papers about the U.S. government, and that *just after* these papers were published, that someone got arrested. Oh, for sex crimes, of course. I forgot to mention that. This is too much of a coincidence. They want to get the guy in prison, or if possible, they'd love to kill him. Assange must not be silenced. Don't you guys just love how our world is controlled by like ,1% of the population, at the cost of nearly half of the entire world's population? And there's nothing we can do about it, because, well, they are the world's leaders, and there are masses (huge fucking masses) of people who follow them blindly? Even if we, as citizens, stood up against them, they'd just send the military in. Most soldiers don't even think about what they are doing. They just follow orders. Most of them, at least. And these fuckers can (and will) kill you if they are told to do so. This world is so fucked. Makes me wonder if I want to keep living in it.
Wow and i thought i was the only one to percieve our world as completley fucked.

So Assange has vanished as a potential candidate for person of the year?!

As someone who was involved in the military recruitment process for the past 5 months and spent a huge amount of time with soldiers and former soldiers, I would like to formally disagree. U.S. soldiers are not mindless dogs. I'm sure at least, I don't know, all of them are much more informed and serious about what they do than you are. Each soldier has his reasons for joining up, and except in cases of police action against extremists, no American soldier would ever turn his weapons on another American just because that's what he's told to do. I agree with much of what you say, but if you're going to start insulting soldiers, please take your anarchist bullshit somewhere else.
And "we, as citizens" would never stand against the government because 99% of us are uninformed little shits who still live in the 90s.

Id rather have a government who used secrets in order to run a country than have a government that shared everything openly... I bet that government would fail so hard
Why does a 12 year old need to know about what was said in private during diplomatic talks? Why do any of you truly NEED to know about how some US diplomat talked about mr putin? Especially if what he said would damage public relations between the two countries? PEople think too much of themselves sometimes, especially on the internet.
Anyways my own bias aside i feel like a lot of you are on julians side because of wikileaks vs government, not because you think he didnt do it

From what I've read he sounds like he's full of himself and kind of a dick. I hope he doesn't get in serious legal trouble over these "surprise sex" charges though. I mean, most of what I read said that neither woman wanted him charged for rape, it sounds more like he just didn't use a condom and then was a complete asshole about it.

when you step on big toes you get a big foot up the ass.
the only good thing is that the situation is so obviously trumped up that people are going to lose a lot of face trying to keep it under the carpet.

The whole thing is an obscenity. I mean seriously who cares about the condom of Julian Assange?
I hope the best for him, he's a courageous man.
