First of all, I dont remeber where, but I`m sure that I read an article from a reliable source that it was proven that the sinking of the S. Korean ship was not caused by a N. Korean military weapon! And secondly, well not that I support n.korea but, I live on the other of the world and I KNOW that entering even with one foot in N. Korea may cost me my life. And I am pretty sure that S. KOREANS know that N.KOREAS wont treat very well SHELLS AND MISSILES entering their teritory, shot from the military ot the country the HATE THE MOST. Come on...there is some extent of provacations and s. koreans generals know that...

I mean why would they choose this locations for the drill? it seems like they wanted some kind of reaction. Not saying that I support N-koreas decision at all but S-korean generals must have anticipated some sort of reaction, given their history and all.....

you make it sound like economics are the only concern of China. China still doesn't want south korean culture bleeding into its own. it doesn't want a nation with ideologies that strongly differ from its own next door. It would make thing far more complicated for them than dealing with a nation that they are used to dealing with. This can't be true. South Korean culture has already "bled" into China with the huge rise in Korean dramas and music. Moreover, China's popular culture is heavily, heavily influenced by areas with liberal ideology, especially Taiwan, Hong Kong and the US (and Japan to a lesser extent). And China pretty much condones such cultural infusion (e.g. Wang Lee Hom at the Beijing Olympics).

Just hoping that China realizes how arrogant North Korea can be,and possible stop supporting em. Yeah but the problem is its one of the very few fellow communist countries left in the world. Like where else is there? I can only think of Cuba.

They probably did only fire west, and south west. All countries are allowed to do military exersizes. The problem is that NKR claims territory that is SKRan territory by agreement after the war in the 50's. So west in realtion to that island is NKRan territory in their NKRn minds. But anyway..without speculating too mutch on details, this is NKR trying to force the US back to the negotiations..NKRan leaders want money to finance flown in bread from France..they actually get that every morning..while the people suffer.
