I doubt US will do anything, they couldnt exploit Korea for any reason, so why would their army ever move out eh ?
Last i heard US had 50k soldiers in SK to help stabilize the region and assist if needed. Hate to defend US military politics but before you bash them remind me how many troops Germany has there?

NK shelled a civilian target, if SK had innitiated anything NK would have returned fire on whatever military target attacking them, not going "oh my, lets ignore that agression and instead go attack this village over here".
200 artillery shells where fired. I do believe that they probably hit alot of shit that they didnt plan to hit.
My theory is that nothing will happen cuz if NK decides to do anything, China cuts them loose and wont give them anymore aid and NK will be by themselves.
Well, after all we can be pretty sure that war between NK and SK is very unlikely. Stop worry guys both SK and NK as well as USA, China and Russia have no intention to go to war rightnow. But NK has increasing provoke SK in the last 6 months. 2012 will be a long year for Koreans

That's obvious. They won't move unless there are oil deposits discovered in NK.

Im sure every north korean longs for being accepted and liked by you .

Technically they've been at war for a longgg time.

You do realize that, NK probably has the story that somehow the South provoked this, and large wars start like that-
... say the Chinese decide to buy the NK story. I hope as much as I can that nothing else happens. Everyone knows that North Korean citizens are constantly bombarded with propaganda telling them that the US and the South are responsible for all of their many, many problems.

Hope it doesn't break out in full war. but if it does i hope in ends quick with Military from other country's helping out aswell with minimal civilian death's that will get the dark horse of the back off South korea aswell i guess.
When you've got nukes you arent sucidial, you are safe and prepared!

That's the worse outcome. NK are dieing without foreign support, and desperate people are the worse and most unpredictable.

The US has military presence everywhere. That's arguably a bad thing, but let's not discuss it here.

So what? Germany has troops all over the world to help and assist if needed, no one hears about it because we dont boost ourselfs with our presence. Maybe if America would finally admit that they attacked Vietnam for the sake of it and that Vietnam never attacked the US then I would be a bit more happy but until then...

What, you mean they like did a roulette wheel aiming technique and just blindly fired over the border?
I will admit that i dont know what military presence SK has on the attacked island, nor the exact layout. Just seems damn wrong that NK attacked a civilain target and then claim to be returning fire.

I heard on the local news (Croatia, lol) right now that Russia and China are "pleading them to not escalate the conflict any further", which basically means that they're telling North Korea to not pull any more shit like that if it wants to remain their pet doggy.
