It isn't defending your border when you open the aggression.

Not to mention the environment - the largest oil spill in history wasn't the current BP gulf oil spill. The BP spill was only the biggest accidental oil spill. This distinction is important because when Hussein ordered Kuwait's oil spilt into the gulf when his defeat was imminent it was even bigger.

it's like, you go out to stab someone, run back to your private property, and go, "if you step into my property i'll call the cops"

All you are doing is speculating that those had a large impact. I'm discussing on a korean forum as well. The impact of those events are ZIP nothing. People stopped caring within a month or so. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_of_Korea When bombs start coming down and citizens actually get injured. Things just got real. People start realizing the current situation in S. Korea and realize sensitive it really is. South Koreans do not think about there neighbor at all. To be honest... the international community probably cares more about korean relations then the SK people it self. This is probably the first time SK citizens will actually start caring about the situation with NK. SK will probably care about this situation for at least a year or so. Majority of things become history IE that boat incident. It was only on the Korean news for like 2 months and that event has never been mentioned up until now. Not a lot of Koreans take North/South korean relations that seriously.

I'm pretty sure the frustration is over North Korea: 1) Firing artillery at South Korea and killing South Koreans 2) Denying that they fired first 3) THEN having the gall to puff out their chests and basically be dicks But yeah sure herp derp defending their borders

They never accepted the border that was unilaterally drawn by the UN after the Korean War cease fire, especially not the Yellow Sea islands. So to the North this looks as much as defending their border as it looks to the South.

Please stop fishing for a reaction. This is a serious thread and you have no place in it.

If you stab someone it's the cops who need to take you into arrest, not other people who could do their own justice.
