price is irrelevant, i simply want to know a baseline of choices before picking but there seems to be so many out there. i thought i'd come to the experts at TL to give me an informed decision. so perhaps some suggestions at $100, $200, $300, then 300+. in those categories what are the top 2 contenders for each? so these are the factors; it has to be wireless, how it performs > how it looks in this case as i don't plan to take it out the house, durability and longevity, comfort in the realms of being able to lay down and watch movies with it on with a pillow, the roaming range doesn't have to be anything great.

Are any of those worth the upgrade ? are 7.1 worth it or just a "gimmick" and 5.1 is more than enough (or even stereo) ? or should i save the money and just wait (hence the V2 still more than enough) ? Im not really a super competitive guy but i like having some good headphones to do everything on PC

I didn't realize I had so many crappy recordings that demand the forgiving nature of HD650.

Though getting a refund and/or replacement should not be a problem imho, either pressuring amazon or contacting sennheiser directly, and let them do the pressure for you. Just sad that some might get the wrong impression about an otherwise fine product, there are bound to be some (very small amount of people but still...) that just don't check on forums/think that's the way it's supposed to :-/

I do have experience with soldering though so I'm not worried about it. They don't provide a physical guide but they take you to a page to download a PDF when you purchase. So uh, any update on this? How does the Crack+Speedball sound with the HD650s?

...jealous. Prob got em for free :p Also, anyone have any recommendations for some 2.1 computer speakers? My are starting to crap out on me and always pick up interference which is annoying as hell. Looking for <$50 but that's flexible.
