I'm inquiring about this route, I am not entirely happy with Westone at the moment, so I am not sure how much I would be willing to spend to keep them in service...considering this seems to be a once a year repair.
Still taking suggestions

Can't you just buy new cable? Prices in my country are really weird and I just found a retailer that has it at close to dollar conversion price.

they're great. it's really different though because the bass isn't the same rumbly type you get from uiems and headphones so a lot of things sound different. and i still have no idea how to put them in my ear or how they should fit so it's a work in progress. but they make everything sound very ... normal. like none of the crazy bass and no screechy highs. not as magical as getting bass monsters but there's a bunch of nuances that show up in songs because it feels like you can focus your listening a bit better with how far up your ear they are. :p

The one I'm eyeing is the Xiaomi piston 2, was wondering if anyone here have used them, and their experiences with it. Don't hesitate! The Xiaomi Pistons are easily worth three times their price, and this is coming from one who has heard and owned IEMs across the entire price spectrum. Just beware of fakes though- genuine sets should not go for below 15 bucks.

Do you have any recommendations for sources of loss-less music or are regular MP3's okay? Just recently bought some new sound equipment (SB Z and DT990pros) and asked my self the same question. Currently I am trying out this sweet piece of PC software. Sonata Music Server It got a 30 days trial period ![]() Based on the jriver media software but with a few of sweet additions.(Ripping stuff etc.) Encountered a couple of instabilities so far but other than that it is really good. The interface is sweet and functions are too.
