What? Of course dental health is more important.

This is a good base, but I would not suggest much weight lifting. If your goal is to lose a significant amount of weight, then weight lifting is really not going to help. It is very difficult to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time. To lose weight your body needs to take-in fewer calories than it uses. To gain any significant amount of muscle, you need to take in more calories than you use, which would be counterproductive. Sure you would gain muscle, but you wouldn't lose much fat.
If your simply trying to lose weight, then a combination of cardio and HIIT with some weight training (mainly to attempt to maintain strength) is your best bet. Remember with weight training use high reps (above 10 or 12) and compound lifts. Isolation lifts are literally pointless for losing weight (ex. bicep curls)
This is absolutely wrong. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories your body burns at rest. Cardio is actually not optimal for people trying to lose weight. You only burn the calories you are using at the time of exercise, and it's not very much. Lifting heavy weights burns alot of calories while you're doing it, and afterwards, as your body needs more calories to maintain the muscles. It's pretty basic biology.

If you are a long-distance runner, you should seriously consider buying running shoes only when your current pair literally fall apart. As detailed by Christopher McDougall in the excellent book Born to Run, too much padding (or maybe even any padding at all) can interfere with the natural suspension of your body, which, in evolutionary terms, is used to running barefoot. This can increase the likelihood of injury.
More anecdotally, I'm a former basketball player turned LDR. I struggled with injuries for the first few years when I was running on treadmills and with comparatively new shoes. When I started running in my old Adidas Superstars (already beat up from use during my last season playing basketball for my university), the injuries stopped. I've since clocked several thousands of injury-free kilometres on them.
Edit: typo.

Rain gets your car dirty sir, unless there is a ton of visible dust/dirt then it will LOOK cleaner, but it will still be dirty.

Sleep is important. VERY important.
Good sleep hygeine consists of leaving about 30 minutes inbetween TV or whatever before going to bed to calm your brain activity. If you go straight to sleep after watching TV/playing on the computer then your brain activity will be high causing you to think that you have insomnia. Don't watch TV in bed. Settling down, enjoying a good conversation with a friend/wife/mate will help calm your brain activity. Don't read an exciting book before bed.
The bedroom is for sex and sleeping. Don't be in your bedroom until you're doing one of those things. It lets your body know that when you go into your room it's time for sleeping (or sex).
Getting up at the same time every day is better for your circadian rhythm and you'll have more refreshing sleep.
Don't exercise at least 4 hours before bedtime.
Caffeine can stay in the body up to 4 hours.
Large amounts of muscle in upper chest/neck can lead to sleep apnea, whether your 'fit' or not.
A size 17 or higher neck in men (15 in women) can lead to sleep apnea.
Obesity is the leading cause of sleep apnea. Anatomy can also cause it. If you lose about 15 to 20% of your body weight then most of your apnea may go away (except for extreme weight issues).
Sleeping on your side can reduce Sleep Apnea, while sleeping on your back will make it worse.
Snoring is one of the more common side effects of sleep apnea.
Sleep Apnea can make hypertension, diabetes, high blood pressure and so on worse. Can lead to congestive heart failure.
And yes, I am a Sleep Technologist.

I'm amazed more people don't know this put, if you eat alot of salad most people keep that horrible Iceberg ball in their fridge. Instead just grab the ball find the stem/core smak it hard on the table, twist and pull out the entire core. That way you only keep the part you eat aswell as it allready being seperated for you.

Be sure to set yourselves some life goals and targets for where you want your life to be headed. This is one of the biggest things most people never do, they just end up coasting along. In 5 years time do you want to be a trainee systems analyst, do you want to have a long term relationship and moved in with your partner, do you want to be living in Thailand? Once you have assessed what you want out of your life, it becomes a million times easier to work towards that. Its like in Starcraft 2, when you get cheesed and dont know how to deal with that you panic - but make a plan where you want to be in the mid game, and when the cheese comes, you know just to deal with it and get back into your mid-game plan.
I can attest to this, as soon as I started listing things I wanted I started doing things about them. E.g. 'to look good' was one of them - next day signed up at the gym, lost 8lbs in 2 months and a -lot- more muscle definition now (I didnt know what exercise to do, so I just asked at the gym for a 'general' workout plan :p - walk before you run!).
FOCUS your thinking. Your mind is incredibly powerful - your subconscious will automatically filter out information it deems not relevant to your interests. Example: you buy a red Ford Focus. All of a sudden every car on the road is a red ford focus. This is because your conscious has told your subconscious 'I have a Red Ford Focus! Yea!'. If you consciously focus on the things you want to achieve (and, these should be the things that make you feel good and get you closer towards your 'life goals'), whether its a better job or a new girlfriend - all of a sudden your subconscious will start shouting at you and you will notice every job advert in the window or every hot girl walking down the street. If you consciously focus on the things you hate about your life, they will invariably bother you more and you will notice it more. Bringing down your mood like this is only ever bad for you, there's no 'good' side to being miserable!
I took some of these tips from Maximum Achievement by Brian Tracy which is a good read, I would recommend it but don't want to spam so if you can get it a library and flick through its interesting - nothing groundbreaking but just puts forward ideas in a very approachable way and forces you to ask yourself questions you might not have otherwise. Setting yourself life goals, then each day working towards those goals and focusing your subconscious on those goals will soon have you on your way!! Waiters aren't exempt from minimum wage. Employers are allowed to use tips as a part of their wage though. So if someone is paid $1.25 an hour and makes $6.25 an hour in tips this is allowed. If she only gets $5.25 an hour in tips, then the employee must make up the difference in wage to $2.25.
I don't know how true this is.
I work in a restaurant. The servers (aka waiters) get paid $2.00/hr from the restaurant, and the rest comes from tips. Granted it's an expensive restaurant, so you're basically never going to be getting such a small tip total that you're only making $2/hr, but my friend told me there have been some times during the summer when it's extremely slow for business when he was barely making more than $2/hr due to the sheer lack of customers.

I worked at a restaurant too and the if the waitresses had a slow day they would end up getting paid less than minimum wage that day. The waitresses got paid like $6/hr when the minimum wage was $10/hr and it was up to the waitress to make up the difference in tips.
I did find out that if someone dines and dashes it's NOT up to the waitress to pay for the bill, at least in Ontario. It's illegal for employers to dock someones pay for anything here, so a restaurant can't charge a waitress anything if one of their tables doesn't pay up. I always thought that if someone dines and dashes it comes out of the waitresses paycheck, but it's not supposed to. The manager could still ask the waitress to pay up, but they're not legally obligated to.

From my understanding (Haven't tried it as I hate jogging) padding interferes with proper feet aligment by lifting ur heels and not providing enough feedback for impact on them. By using non padding shoes u are forced to run properly (i.e not landing on ur heels).
For weightlifting I always deadlift barefoot and not injuries yet FWIW ( I can currently deadlift x2 my weight, doing kettlebell training ATM and will attempt to deadlift x3 my weight in the following 2 months)
Gotta add Pavel Tsatsouline books and his form (www.dragondoor.com) are the best resouce for excecise I have ever found.

I worked at a fairly cheap restaurant in the US and this is how it worked for me. If you make less than minimum wage over a whole 2 week paycheck period then the restaurant will make up the difference. This never happens though, so slow shifts just drag down your hourly wage (though you will still be above minimum wage since you're bound to have some good shifts too.) It sucks getting paid $2.13 an hour and just chilling, or doing stuff like cleaning when its slow.
