I hope you give out a wise chuckle and pat them on their eager heads and say "Starcraft? Let me tell you something about starcraft...", as they listen their eyes will glisten and a new seed of gaming was planted that day.
Starcraft 2 to the masses!

"Korean player Lee Yun-Yeol is the LeBron James of professional gaming..."

There's also been an increase in interest among some of my friends who had never played BW before, but are getting interested in the franchise because of the release of SC2.
im thinking it's party due to the merger with activision and partly due to blizzard waking up to the idea of making eSPORTS come alive after seeing it done in korea.
mainstream advertising is now something that is done by blizzard (as we've seen witih wow commercials).
with activision's directives wanting to squeeze as much money, and that they are more regular corporate types, rather than the gamer company blizzard, they are likely to use and push and seal the deal with mainstream advertising.

hm... incoming waves of new blood noobs to bnet for me to slaughter =)
favorite part:
7) "StarCraft II" is Only the Beginning Like many big-budget video game releases these days ("Mass Effect," "God of War"), "Starcraft II" is the first part of a trilogy. If history is any indication, you can look forward to "StarCraft III" in 2021. By then you'll be playing it on a hovering virtual display projected from tiny cameras implanted in your eyeballs.

Don't talk bullshit. NaDa himself said a progamers APM is around 300. Look at all FlaSh replays at gosugamers.net always +/- 300

4) "StarCraft" Has Seen the Vast Emptiness of Space Astronaut Daniel Barry took one giant leap for nerd-kind by bringing a copy of "StarCraft" with him into space. Reveling in the inherent irony of bringing a video game about killing evil space bugs along while you actually circle Earth in a spaceship, the developers requested the intergalactic game CD and now keep it at Blizzard HQ.
Probably the only thing on that list I wasn't aware of.

Think it's time for SC to get it's own cable tv channel here.

Many casual gamers also have around 300 APM.
I think by.hero is the progamer who has the highest consistent APM. But yeah, most progamers also hover at the 300 range.

Well if they saw the ghost of the past trailer they would be like "hey these space marines sound just like us" :x

Jut thought I'd mention that the commercials have been playing frequently on EPSN as well.

SC2 is advertised on most of the most commercial tv channels in the UK too. Looks like the game's going to be huge.

If you are c- with 290 avg apm, most of your actions are unnecessary spamming, sorry man.

But he gets paid a lot. Quick result from google
Anyway, SC FOR LIFE.

Unfortunately I haven't experienced anything like this, but at the same time I'm confident that's the case.

In fact if Flash wasted no wasted apm, and averaged 290, he'd be more effective than he is now.
