Look at the right one, imagine she has a cast that goes all the way up (the blue leg). When you don't see the top part, it's behind her. Just look at it for 10s you'll see. The original was without any markings, and you had to struggle to see it otherwise. Am i missing something here? They both look like they are spinning clockwise to me :s I logged in, just to say that you are not missing anything. Every time I saw that advertisement, I'd stare at it as it was always different directions. I've come to the conclusion it switches every couple seconds. Stare at it long enough and you'll notice they change directions so well you can't tell without looking for it. I feel I'm pretty good at judging that part =P The direction of of the spinning comes from the leg you watch, the pic actually makes it very easy to understand since one leg is coloured on both figures. It helps when you watch the "ass" because thats actually the only way to "change" it on purpose. Look at the original: ![[image loading]](http://jaced.com/blogpix/2007/spinningballerina-001.gif) The gif is going up and down so you can't tell the differences between the legs regarding the height. If you look at the other gif again, you can see what actually is the difference, it's literally only how you see the legs and everything else is done by your brain all alone. Just keep looking at the left side of the picture(the one where the lines are drawn, directly look at the hips and legs) and then the right side of it, it's hilarious.. Hard mode: do it with the original. A little trick I like to do: think about math for a minute, and then think about a joke or something that you love(really love) or something that makes you sad. It's fascinating(came up with that because I was too bored lol). I also know some people that can't get it to rotate clockwise. ;D I don't really understand it myself, it's just what I read about it. If you stare at her ass, it will stay in the same direction, but by looking at her legs or arms, you can flip it around, and continue staring at her ass to keep it going the other direction. ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/tufkU.png) | ||
