Meteorological disasters can easily be attributed to global warming, tectonic disasters not so much.

I think that mostly you are more aware of them happening since you have been living the past 10 years while before that you were too young to care.
My heart started beating faster when the quake was happening also. I went to stand under the door frame and the other people in my house went outside. It really does feel like you are on a rocking ship.
