I had a friend in high school that would make users names of words or phrases that his dad (a Korean immigrant to the US) would mispronounce, like:

Aulowt = All Out

MastaClow = Mr. Cloud (some dude from some video game)

and mine Krayg = Crazy

I pretty much stole the ID from him.

Was looking for a good nickname, my friend got his from just getting a random word and taking the first and last letters of it. We had to learn some vocabularium for our latin class. So VO cabula RIUM became VoriuM

At the time when i created this name the alternating uppercase/lowercase was considered the new "hip" thing to do when i was playing sc1, and since HaZaRd kinda looks a little off i added another Z in there to even it out so i got what is now my username. had it since around the beginning of 1999.

I was 13 or 14 years old, and i was one of the best students in my class. They said always "it would be a glob for me" (--> glob translated by dict.cc, i don't know if the word has the meaning as it has in german, if not: This proverb means, that everything is easy to handle for me). The German word for it is "Klacks", so i taken the word and played with some literals and voilà Glaxx.

My real id is Aayaa, that's what I use for WoW/sc2/sc/wc3. I had a friend who was zyz and I thought having a y in the middle of a name was cool. Then I wanted double letters on both sides.

In High School I used to bring a lunch sack to school that my mom packed for me every day (yes, high school..). It became a running joke that it would always have a Surge (soda) in it, even though I hated Surge and had told my mom so many times, but inevitably there was some magical stockpile of Surge in the ether that would deposit one into my lunch sack every day, leading it to be called 'the magic lunch sack' amongst my friends.

At the time I was playing a BBS game Tele-Arena, and I needed a name for a character I'd be using to hold items, and figured MagicLunchSack fit perfectly.

Fast forward a couple years and I joined an IRC channel to discuss video games and decided I'd like to look more 'mature' so I shortened it to 'MLS'.

Fast forward another year, and one of the people I met on IRC just started calling me Mills since "MLS is too hard to say".

Finally, when I was signing up for an account somewhere MLS and Mills were both taken (curse you soccer) so I added a random suffix to Mills that I liked and thus I am Millsington.

Im eastern European and one day I wore a track suit. My friends joked around that I look like Im part of the Romanian communist secret service (the securitate). I thought it was pretty funny and starcraft 2 came out that week so I just sort of picked the id.

I used to know someone who always substituted words he forgot with the word thingdo, especially people's names. I'd pretty frequently hear him say things like "I was talking to thingdo today".

When I went to make a new screen name, I couldn't think of any good names, so I went with that.

Maegnis Ra is a combination of Maugan Ra and Kaelis Ra. Maugan Ra was the first Dark Reaper and Kaelis Ra was the great deciever. Both are from Warhammer 40K.

When I was in the sixth grade a friend of mine went to Hawaii, came back, and reported that all the pigs he saw were dead. We decided they were really rare and started drawing pigs all over desks and lockers and stuff (generally being chased by a butcher). I discovered the internet shortly after and used it as my hotmail address.

Now, pretty much a decade and a half later, I still use the handle.

My friends and I were all Halo fanatics (still are in a way, love the series still) and we were making a little parody short story of it. The characters in the book were all random spoofs on other things, so there were characters like Sadistic Jack, Dangerous Dave, blah blah, but the crowning character was a spoof on Halos' 343 Guilty Spark. We were so annoyed by him that we made the parody character 911GuiltyJerk, and when we got the internet and Halo PC Edition, we all chose handles from the story, and I grabbed 911GuiltyJerk. This was all about 6 years ago, and I've grown attached to the handle just because writing the parody and all my old Halo days were great fun. However, since a lot of things won't let me use numbers in my name, and because 911 seems to offend a lot of people (Which if I thought it through I would have guessed to begin with) I've modified it in the last year or so to just GuiltyJerk.

When my buddies used to play Halo 1/2, I would play as a pink spartan named Pretty. (Pretty in pink)
When I first signed up for xbox live, Pretty was already taken or not available, and that made me angry. Angry Pretty sounded dumb, so I went with Mad Pretty.

my name on the ladder is bonerjamz, and it wound up being that because i didnt think you could only make one account. they got me good.

hoor3x is a more boring name i got in highschool baseball. i was one of the only players that hadnt lived in the area so they all new each other and i was the new guy. my name is trey and they said "like t-rey. like hoo-ray and t-rex. like hoorex!?" then it just stuck. my friends still call me that in real life
