I change IDs like once a week because I suck at making final decisions. This one I picked randomly for my iCCup admin account cos it was what people called me on the internet when my username was Deliverance for a while but also in real life my roommate called me it sometimes as a bit of a joke.

It's just simple and I don't like it but it's nice to have a one syllable name.

I made mine up for a BW battle.net name a couple years ago off the top of my head. Later I found out it's the name of a hot polish pop artist. I was pleased by this.

A few years ago I used to play DotA all the time, and I'd always host on Listchecker so I could change my name on a whim. My friends and I always liked to choose interesting names based on the heroes we'd be playing that game. I almost always picked the Nevermore hero, since he was a lot of fun to play (high skill cap) and could power and carry with high reliability if my partners were doing some random stupid strategy. Anyways I liked seeing that whenever I killed someone it would say

Player(hero name) was killed by QuothTheRaven(Nevermore)!

I played it enough that I ended up keeping it even after stopping playing DotA, because in middle school I really liked The Raven (had it almost entirely memorized) and some of Poe's other stuff, and I like having a name that reflects my amateur interest in literature. And also because I'm really uncreative with coming up with other nicknames.

Cool topic, indeed. Was great to read some of stories behind the IDs.

Forum ID: whiterabbit - I just love Jefferson Airplane and I was listening one of their most genius works and naturally I picked this name. =)

SC2 ID: just random think that came on my mind when I was asked to type the account name, nothing interesting or anything.

There once was a boy, who was white. He despised being white and always believed he belonged with the people who ate with chopsticks. So he indulged himself in the mannerisms of the asian. However, those who were truely oriental said he did not belong. The white men despised him for leaving the way of the fork. So for many years, this boy was alone. But in all seriousness, 6 years ago I met some asians in my 9th grade english class who played starcraft. We chatted a bit, and got on that night to play a few 1v1's. After I beat them (I was a D rank noob on PGT vs fastest map possibly players) they were like 'wow wtf a white man beat us.'

During gym class, we were playing baseball, and i got in a pickle (stuck between 2nd and 3rd base) and got out and scored a run, they were like "OMG AMAZING MICRO" and hense, I decided I was more asian than them if I could beat them in starcraft. So my name was then created, The CaucasianAsian.

Well, my last name is Brown and my first name is Chris, and so some kids used to call me ChrisB in elementary school. And whence came the day I registered for TeamLiquid, I was bored of my old Internet ID (Christolph - Don't even ask for that one) and remembered ChrisB. I thought Chrispy would be cool - et voila! A legend was born.
