Senior year of high school I got a puppy that was was the runt of his litter, and was half Siberian Husky and half Malamute. Was solid white with blue eyes, and the mix of breeds and coloring made it look like a mix between an arctic wolf and a dog. When trying to think of a name, my dad told me about a book called "Kävik the Wolf Dog" he had read as a kid, and how my dog reminded him of it, so we named him Kavik.

I had him for 3 years, one of which I was deployed. I got back and got a job at a bookstore which kept me from seeing him that much. One day at work I noticed that book my dad had mentioned while cleaning up the kid's section, so I read it that day while no customers were around. On my drive home I got a call to hurry up, and got home to find out he had choked to death. So I had to bury my dog in the rain on the same day I read the book that his name came from. I've been Kavik in every game ever since.

It's just been my ID for every strategy game I've played since I was 12, which is a rather long list. I mean, it's not very original,I know.

Oh, what's that? It's supposed to be Conqueror?

So? I was twelve, and the misspelling created its own personality upon myself...

People call me Jonny (real name's Jonathan). Specifically chose 'JustJonny' after the brutal scifi movie 'Johnny Mnemonic' where Keanu Reeves refers to himself as 'just Jonny' due to some anmesia and not knowing his surname or who he is or something. God that movie was awful.

Used to play amateur baseball. On long road trips in tiny towns in crappy states (looking at you Dakotas), there wasn't much to do for 17 yr olds when not playing ball except to play video games. Our game of choice was Halo, and we'd LAN two boxes in connecting hotel rooms and play 4v4 until game time (or curfew, depending on time of game). Eventually Xbox Live happened, and we had a bunch of those free month cards, so the quick and unoriginal group-used names went down as colors and team nicknames of the various teams we represented.

BluePanther was one
BlackPhantom another, etc, etc.

Since this one was registered to me, I've continued to use it for gaming on xbox live and now sc2.

when i made my newer email address i was watching a strongbad email about how to make an email address. He said to just put things you like and add numbers. So i added my two favorite guitars together and a random number to make sgrazorback112. Then i thought that was stupid ID so i cut out sg, back and 112. the problem with what was razor always taken. Then my friend made an clan i picked up the tag and my problem were salved.

My name is rather complicated. Shohatto references a Japanese Sword Martial arts technique. Generally the first technique taught to beginners in Japanese Sword related martial arts, it means "First Cut" roughly. Into martial arts with a focus on Sword so I thought it would be fitting since it's the one thing I really serious about.

In-game, its Gobonuki which is a insult to anyone doing a Japanese sword related martial art. It references poor technique and roughly translates to "Radish Puller". I use it to also mean that no matter how good you are, no matter your rank, you still have much to learn, funny considering I'm a 3rd degree black belt.

rahji comes from my last name. Someday at school my schoolmates came up with this and called me maharaja rahji.i dont konw any more, how we got to this, but i kept the name. i used it for my diablo 2 account. I always use that name when other my other ID is no more available.

In SC2 i use Wanderer as my ID, because i used to walk to all partys instead of driving to drink some alcohol. I almost always had to walk several miles,often through dark woods, so it took me a while. i had always my mp3-player with me and listend to Ensiferum - Wanderer. Look it up if you like metal

That song fitted so well when you walk drunk in the forest

For those who don't know, the nickname for one of the hosts is Captain Slow because he doesnt care for things like power.

Zaranth is the name of one of the dragons of Pern from Anne McCaffrey's sci-fi series. She's in the book "The Skies of Pern." In these novels the color of the dragons rates how intelligent they are. Zaranth is a green dragon, low on the totem pole (rank is Gold/Bronze, Brown, Green, Blue). Most greens are just there to fight Thread and not much else. However, Zaranth is unique because not only does she have a female rider, but she figures out how to move things with telekinesis (dragons can use telepathy and teleportation but up to this point not telekinesis). So she becomes basically the first green dragon to teach anything to the larger and more powerful bronze and gold dragons.

I picked this name because a) I'm a female b) I'm a noobie, thus an underdog, and c) I hope that I can figure out a really awesome way to play the game and maybe even teach the pros a thing or two. As a side note, I think it would make an awesome logo ... a large golden Z with a green dragon curling around it ... if only I was handy with graphics and design tools.

I have always been interested in folklore and the like. One day i was talking to my sister about eastern European folklore and she told me of a folk story about a house with chicken legs that ate people IIRC. this got me interested in gypsy and Ukrainian folklore and i made my handle GypsyBeast on TL because i loved all of the absurd monsters and beasts that are present in the folklore.

Also my handle in starcraft is RainbowDash because i love ponies ^^

A praetor is a Roman official who commanded an army. The Praetorian guard were an elite cadre of soldiers that served, guarded, and occasionally killed the Roman emperor. I took my name from the latter, and made it an adjective because I enjoy the concept of a shadow guard with no restrictions on the methods they use, akin to a secret police. As for the "Gamer" bit, that was a rather unoriginal moment on my part.

Name used to be Nurgel4444, i love the number 4 and nurgel was a character in a old cartoon i used to watch, changed to volrog, some game had massive 2 headed rats called valrogs so i wanted it to be similar, all my names now start with volro-<random letter> and volrod just so happened to be the char i was playing @ the time

I looked up stars, being the sci fi nerd I am, and came across Antares, which I thought was extremely cool at the time. Antares was already in use, so I just added a few 7s.

I still think Antares is a sweet name and haven't grown out of it.
