Those news thread must get more hits/replies than practically anything else. Where else on the internet are we to discuss serious news stories with people who actually have a brain? It sure as hell isn't the BBC discussion boards.

An awful OP was begun on a topic I cared about: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=110235 I recognized it for a bad OP that would generate bad discussion, so I made my own topic, putting effort into making it as unbiased and informative as possible, to generate good discussion: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=110299 Result? My thread gets closed, thread with terrible OP gets to stay. This is exactly why I started this and what should not happen in the future. I closely remember this and it was a shame your thread was closed due to the old rule "first come first serve". Write a good OP and your thread stays. Copy & paste a news story and a link and it will get referred to this thread.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A Florida woman said her love handles saved her life when she was shot entering an Atlantic City bar. Samantha Lynn Frazier said she heard two pops when she walked into Herman's Place early Saturday. The 35-year-old then felt pain and saw blood on her hand after she grabbed her left side. Atlantic City police said Frazier was an innocent bystander. Detective Lt. Charles Love said the gunman was aiming for a man who escaped with a bullet hole in his down jacket. The suspect remains at large. Frazier told The Press of Atlantic City that "I could have been dead. They said my love handles saved my life." Frazier also told the newspaper that she had been "hollering" that she wanted to lose weight. She now said "I want to be as big as I can if it's going to stop a bullet." New Jersey: The only place in the world where getting more obese may actually be a viable safety precaution.

All they have going for them is being nearby which is about the same level of claim as Britain has to Ireland or USA has to Cuba, ie none. When an island is outside the territorial waters of everyone they should get to choose and they choose Britain.

So apparently, according to this Economist blog, pro screen golf matches have been televised in Korea before. TL being a home for fans of Korean esports, would anyone know if there are any vods of these televised matches?
