Its nothing major, but enough to prove my point. If you dont feel like reading:
BroOd: "Don't click that, btw."
Dude! what the fuck is wrong with you?! you used an abbreviation, why dont you just type it out, it only takes a few more seconds. Point made, BroOd shut down. Now he is brewing in his seat.

Hahaha, ok man if you think thats really the opposite of my point. Your post was about people not typing things out.
BroOd: "It's only a few extra seconds, and it adds, if nothing else, atleast a small shred of credibility to usually infantile posts usually negated by the moronic spellings."
If anything i'll admit that your abbreviated examples do not coincide with (btw, lol, brb, wtf etc.), but the same laziness with someone that types ppl instead of people, is not any difernet than you being too lazy to type by the way. So all in all your point is still invalid. And you sir, are a moron. FakeSteve was a man atleast.

Read that. Then try searching for "ppl", "u r", "wuz", etc. You really need to stop posting. If you can't grasp what I'm trying to explain to you, atleast understand you're an idiot.

Seriously, I never thought this thread would grow more than 3 pages. Amazing how flames can make threads grow so big. So for better or for worse, without flames, you wouldn't have tl.net the way it is today :/

I do understand your point and have said on several posts that i agree with you. It is still blatatnly obvious that you avoid admitting that you use these online abbreviated words/sentences. I would love for you to say outright you have NEVER used any of mispelled abbreviations.
For a completely and retracting point, lets say i give in and you are totally right, and you have never ever used the abbreviations. You still have an unhealthy issue with a very very NORMAL thing. We are talking millions of people use these abbreviations and think nothing of it. Majority if remember right, makes up a culture.

I have never used a grammatically incorrect abbreviation (with the exception of typos) that I can honestly remember.
I don't see how this is "unhealthy", so maybe you could fill me in on that.
"Majority if remember right, makes up a culture." Not exactly sure what you were attempting to say here, but if you're attempting to prove something valid simply because of it's widespread use, I guess slavery was fine too.

This thread got boring when the argument started. I think it was the 2nd page.

I wouldn't necessarily call those flames. The first 1/3rd was a stupid ass argument, the second 1/3rd was the cheesiest appologies/home-erotic behavior I have ever seen in a forum, and the 1/3rd half was the inevitable conclusion when two juveniles try to make up even though they both still think they are right.

When certain words are getting used more often, people naturally develop more effective ways of communicating. When u say: "I hate this bullshit abbrevation" you are really saying that you do not chat that much, thus not having to use the abbrevations and you prefer correct english.

I nominate this for dumbest post ever. First off it's "cannot," not "can not." Secondly, "can't" is not ebonics it's what most people consider English.

I love this topic. It so relates to me. I hate it when people use that shit.

Bro0d, you're such a dick. There's a difference between using abbreviations like "ppl" and randomly putting z's instead of s's and generally talking like you want to be a gangster but aren't quite cool enough. There's nothing even slightly wrong with using shortened words like "ppl" "cpu" "etc" because everyone knows what they mean and they don't look retarded if the surrounding words are all typed properly! I actually think Hovz said this best .
