I just got information from a reliable source that the World of Warcraft Alpha has leaked. Though it isn't playable yet, however when the hackers that are working on it (prob the same guys as the guys from WarForge, the ones that made the WC3 Alpha playable) figured out how to crack it, we might be able to see alot of the game already. Playing the game on your own, or maybe even on IPX or most optimistic: maybe they even would be able to set up a server which we could connect to and play the Alpha Version online!

single player shouldnt be possible unless you mean the multiplayer alone.... :O

I confirm this, and would only like to add that they are already working on server software that will make this available for online play. However, this leak means WoW will probably be delayed even further. Way to go, jerks who leaked it.

War3 alpha was hacked by the guys at Warforge? I thought they only did the beta.
That's kind of gay, because the release date probably will be pushed back now, but what does anyone care? They can play it now!

Yea, I really don't care if it's gonna take a few months longer than planned. I'm bored as hell when it comes to computer stuff.. BW is boring and there hardly are any games that I really enjoy to play. So if this thing is able to keep me busy for the upcoming time I'll be satisfied. Plus it gives the opportunity to get an impression of the game.. If it's really worth buying it. I've always had a feeling that EverQuest2 is the real upcoming MMORPG and WoW will be lacking alot of things but would be cool because it's warcraft O:

beta is us korea canada, then later the rest of us (well everyone but australia but well find a way as we go every other time)

i dont think this will delay real WoW anyhow, TFT wasnt delayed by warforge either (think hl2 = source code)

It will take a long time (I think) for them to figure out how to make a working emulated server for WoW Alpha, and when/if they do, beta will probably be out by then

EQ took 1 high end server per zone, maybe 2 zones. Thats ridiculous.

wow this is rather awesome, i hoped to play this game asap, but it's pay to play T_T and i doubt there is single player, so this is really great!

Where are you guys downloading it from? War Forge? I didnt check the website just replying as soon as I read it.
Everquest is evil. Sucked about a year and a half out of my life. PLayed that game waaaaaaay too much.

its only an alpha and they cant make a working sandbox out of the maps they found in it
its just a client
so no it wont have the same prob the eq

hrm, i havent gotten a lot of infro on WoW yet, but is it a RPG? Or maybe another RTS? ive heard theyve been working on it for like the past 2-3 years -_-d i remember seeing them saying they were gonna come out with it when i forst got on bw(2-3 years ago) and i was like O_o;
