Andre Miller is what you'd call a Pure Point Guard in that he knows offensive schemes very well, can pass well and if need be can drop 20 points on the opposing team. He's never really been a superstar player but more of a "If you want to win big this guy is a good fit" kind of a player. So you've got Steve Blake who's by all means average. You've got Andre Miller who's above average even at this age. The real killer is that they've STILL got the much hyped Jared Bayless in development who now should be learning management style gameplay from Miller. Bayless can pass but he is an offensive scoring machine. We all know why that's good and bad. Imagine if Iverson kept his scoring ability but learned how to play under Isiah Thomas. That's what the Blazers are somewhat looking for (I'd hope).

He's one of my " I hope people forget how beastly he is and don't pick him in the 3rd or 4th round" fantasy prospects for next season. The same goes for Russel Westbrook once I get word on how his summer training has been looking.

I had both Westbrook and Green on my fantasy team last season and I was pretty happy... too bad AI and Stojakovic totally fucked it for us. T_T;;

T_T;; What settings and categories were you guys playing with? Under Yahoo standard 9-category rankings, neither Westbrook nor Green were particularly impressive. Westbrook's FG% and TOs were killer, and his inability to make 3's hurt him as a guard. He scored a lot by getting to the line a lot and shooting a pretty good FT%, rebounded well for a guard (~5 rpg), got a good number of steals (~1.2 spg), but had a very average assist rate for a guy who had the ball so much. Overall, he was a very inefficient player apart from his FT shooting. Green had a pretty bad FG% himself for a forward, but his 3pt shooting and FT shooting sort of made up for it and allowed him to score a good amount in the end. He rebounded pretty well during some stretches, but ended up averaging about 6-7 rpg, which isn't all that great for a guy who played so much PF. Also had a pretty bad AST/TO ratio and got very few STL and BLK. Overall, both players were borderline when including TOs as a category, and 8th-9th rounders when excluding it. I guess one could be pleased if they got them very cheaply (late-round draft pick or FA pickup), but I don't know that I'd expect all that much from them in a fantasy standpoint barring significant improvement (more likely with Westbrook than Green IMO).

I tried to convince the guys in my league to include FT% but then they decided not to change it especially since my roster was loaded with PGs (the secret to destroying fantasy leagues).
