I'm talking about starters and possibly 6th men (decide for yourselves which players qualify). ![]() Example: Last summer, a bet was made for which team would win if they played each other in the playoffs - the Bulls or Celtics. Well if you placed your money on the Celtics, here they are going up against a young energized Bulls team without KG. If KG played in that series, I'm almost certain it wouldn't have gone 7 games. ![]() The last thing anyone wants is to lose a bet because the team he or she bet on is missing a key player. Unless you believe that injuries are a part of the game and a risk that should be included when making a bet. Hard to say, you can make the opposite argument that the Hawks shouldn't have pushed their series 2 playoffs ago to 7 games, Boston is weird the first 2 rounds year in and year out.

I hear what you're saying. I was just trying to make a point and I guess Boston is actually a bad example. Main point being that losing a star player to an injury definitely has the possibility of costing you a series. Let's say I put money on the Lakers beating Boston in the finals. If the Lakers lose Gasol or Bryant to injury, I would think twice about placing that bet. I hope everyone would ![]()

Stop the presses! http://www.theonion.com/content/node/38750 MILWAUKEE–Ray Allen, Milwaukee Bucks guard and budding NBA superstar, is drawing raves on and off the court, hailed by admirers as "not an asshole" and "a reasonably decent human being." "I'll never forget what he said to me before the first interview I did with him," Burns said. "He said, 'Hello, Mr. Burns.' Then he extended his hand for me to, you know, shake. That's just the type of guy he is." Such decency has not gone unnoticed: Never accused of sexual assault, Allen has earned high praise for his lack of hostility toward women.

I don't think his show is going to take any health risks. Swimming isn't going to kill him, it is actually a non-strenuous excercise compared to basketball... And he might be motivated to try and avoid embarssment if he is on TV. I want to watch this. :o
