It's Baron Davis isn't it? correctamundo! altho during his last stretch of bball last season (from the games that i checked), he didn't jack up as many shots as i thought he would (only about 16 or less shots a game)

They both have had excellent careers but at no point during their careers were they even in consideration for the top of their position. I guess pierce had a really good couple year stretch where he was dominating but neither of these them "feel" like a HOF to me. I dunno if anyone else remembers sheed during his prime with the blazers but this guy was so talented. If only he had the proper attitude and work ethic, he would be right alongside KG and Duncan as the best PF's of their generation. His post game was an absolute joy to watch. With his high release, length and height combined with his soft touch and excellent footwork, he was unstoppable when he was playing his A game.

And nobody on the Jailblazers could maintain a good work ethic, with the exception of Brown.

Everything you say about Pierce and Allen is correct, but they can just point to Joe Dumars, HOF. Joe D in the HOF is such a mistake, but now it leaves the door open for lots of other borderline players. I remember Sheed during his prime years. Absolutly HOF talent. Which is why it was so maddening to watch him in his later Detroit years.

Sure it's 3 years instead of 5 years, but fuck it... take the 9 million per year and stop being a douche.

He's been a max contract player at every renewal. For his class, that's James, Melo, Bosh & himself. http://hoopshype.com/salaries.htm
