EPTWow, this game is so old, and so bad, and I'm so addicted to it.
I played this back in highschool (we're talking like, 2000-01) back when all mmos were a grind. It wasn't anything special back then, but I still enjoyed it.
Fast-forward to present... My girlfriend and I are sitting around trying to figure out something we can do together. We decide to find a game, and since neither of us wanted to play any current MMOs (eww, WoW) I brought up Xenimus.
It's your basic top-down MMO and is, in some ways, similar to Ultima Online.
Right now there's probably only about 100 people in the world that still play it, and all of them have been doing it obsessively for the past 10 years. This means they're all ridiculously high leveled and suffering from serious basement dweller e-peen syndrome.
At any rate, the game is free to download, and comes with 2 weeks of free play. You guys should check it out if you're looking for some random way to kill time. The PvP elements are pretty fun and fast paced, but you're going to have to put in some pretty serious time if you're going to get to a high enough level to actually hold your own vs. anyone who's been playing for a while.
