You were in a 0.0 station a lone, without graphics, in a hurricane. What did you expect would happen?

She's pretty much full on amarr goodness and is just about ready to pvp with most tech 2 ships in her arsenal. If you guys get a good amount of people I'll join it for low sec first.

We've been getting a great influx of tl.netters in our ingame, public channel (SCBW) and I've been getting lots of mails from new guys looking to join. At this point, however, it's much more difficult for us to take on brand new guys. The way Scalding Pass has been lately, it's not a very friendly place for a new player, and I was worried about taking on new guys just to have them get frustrated and quit. I've talked with JP and the Liquid Inc. directors, and we're all on the same page. This is a great idea and now is the perfect time to implement it. -Gordon

I was planning on joining some kind of newbie training corp until I got up to TL status, but now I can get the best of both worlds. I'll definitely be hitting you guys up next time I'm on ![]()

Would you recommend going Perception and Willpower heavy to start -> get ship and gun skills. Then re-map to Int/Mem -> Learning/Engi/Elec/Mech skills -> stay with that long term I find this would at least let me mission better while getting my skills up, I stated Int/Mem and now can't kill anything, and 50% o the missions involve killing things. I also don't mind just flying frigates and destroyers (at least for now) so being Int/Mem long-term seems better for the millions of skills to learn. Thank you!

if you are at least somewhat serious about EVE then get someone of us to give you a 21day trial (PM me for trials). On this account you remap to Mem/Int and start all learning and adv. learning skills which will take up about 14 days(iirc ?) while creating another regular 14day trial where you skill all gunnery/missiles/what not and go around and shoot stuff for the fun of it. Once your real character is done with the learnings, which are massively important and can not be ignored (at least when you are serious about EVE), you can start to get into your regular skill scheme for whatever it is you wanna do in EVE and dumping the 14day trial one. That's what a lot of us did in the beginning and I think it makes a lot of sense. tl;dr make 21day trial skill learnings, also make 14day trial skill pew pew, ask me for 21day trials

Or I'll have to quit this like I did wow haha It's quite manageable to play eve for short periods of time. With the way skills work, and especially now with planetary interaction, it's very possible to get a relatively large reward from stuff that you set up and then check back on later. Checking the market and contracts also takes a short amount of time, and missions can be run whenever you like for as long as you like. The problem is when you step beyond this it gets increasingly difficult to limit playtime. Most of the things I mentioned above, although lucrative, are somewhat uninteresting for many players. The most exciting of them, running missions, gets boring in a matter of weeks. The others often feel like chores from the onset. Things that people find fun are usually excruciatingly time consuming, not because the fun part is long, but because searching for them takes quite a long time. It's often very hard to find a fight against another player simply because space is big and people tend to stick together in fast moving clumps. Harder PVE content, like plexes or wormholes, can require a significant amount of scanning to access. The hardest and most rewarding encounters are not only near-impossible to do without a group, but they can take several hours. This isn't to dissuade you from continuing to play Eve. It would be wise, however, to set your expectations at a realistic level. It's very possible to do chore-like stuff on weekdays and fun stuff on the weekends, for example. Limited to two hours a day, every day, it might be a bit tough to enjoy yourself.
