Also at any time they're holding a considerable amount of players' money with no rules regarding investing it or anything. They must be getting returns on that shit.

How much money are we talking about here ballpark? Seems like the general price of isk on some 3rd party sites is around 18-25$ per billion. Are these people making a good living IRL from being rich in EVE?

Seems like if you could make 1 billion/hr and sustain it for 40h/week you'd be making the same money as an entry level job lol.

RMTing is risky and RMTing trillions is perhaps impossible.

Doesn't stop the gold farmers in WOW. Is CCP pretty good about cracking down on this sort of thing?

Blizzard don't literally lose subscriptions when people buy gold. CCP attempt to hold a monopoly on RMTing through their plex trading system and their rates are considerably above $18/b.

Sounds like a plan. 1 billion/hour should be easy enough for a starting account to train up to. Now you just need to find a pay pal account, vpn your network so ccp doesn't catch on, make your own site to launder the money, and have enough connections that trust you enough to pay you rl cash for isk. Much easier than flipping burgers!

Two things to note, those that rmt rarely do it for a living. Those that it appeals the most to are those living in countries where wages are much lower than the us. The average monthly salary in say russia, is 750usd.

Typically when westerners rmt its usually on a grand scale (legend has it that one of the NC leaders used a large portion of the goo trade to help pay down his mortgage) or as a supplement, like saying "hey I botted this month and made 200$ to buy random stuff with". It is very easy to shuffle around large amounts of isk, you just need to be creative with how you're laundering. Whether its feigning being scammed, conveniently contributing a super cap to another player, or selling a mod at a silly low price, or even feigning merc contracts.

NC was notorious for having one of the largest super cap production facilities and 'selling supers' then suddenly when it came time to fight they didn't even have the money to finance battleship defense fleets against the supers that inevitably ended up in enemy hands. The speculation is that they didn't necessarily sell direct to their enemies but inevitably the rmt groups would resell their their 'discounted ship acquisition' to fill their rmt orders.

Security was more lax back than, and CCP already shut down 2 of the larger(est?) RMT russian sites. But if you can pull off the RMT, more power to you.

Agreed, its been attacked my ccp, of course you can still go through many publich channels and continually get spammed for rmt sites, suggesting they havent truly killed it.

So whats the name of the new EFT program that has the new ships, or is it just the latest version of eft?

Does it have all 4 ships in it?

So we went down to ec- again.

We land off the torrinos gate, they all dock up and complain we only come when their fleet is standing down. We shoot a few people, force them to jump through, then try to warp in on a drake a few times that we miss. So we start killing their bubbles. A malediction lands 300km off the gate. I land on it in my SFI. Instead of using its 0s align time to warp away, it decides to point me and burn off to like 10k. I point it back, and then it target paints me? It dies.

Then two drakes who were apparently not aware that their alliance likes to keep the gate bubbled 24/7 land in the bubbles. We kill both and pod one, trading a rifter in the process. Since aeth is a bad and burned his launchers on the last drake, we decide to go back to Saranen.

If you already have an account, this deal lets you get half a year of playtime on a new account for 3 PLEX. I think you also get a Cerebral Accelerator.

I would recommend that everyone take this deal and train up a Rhea pilot or something similar.

Abandoning it and taking this new deal would still be the prudent course. The PLEX you spent is just a sunk cost.
